  1. Interesting but I'd have thought Ross Perry was the more natural successor at centre half.
  2. Could have been anyone... Email Jim Hannah - he may be able to help.
  3. Easy answer is this. Pin a picture of Brown's celebration on the dressing room door before the next game. If our players can't react to that motivation then they really are a lost cause.
  4. They didn't show the whole of the box. Bluedell may know if his prawn sandwich didn't get in the way...

  6. No idea - just not seem him there for a while...
  7. I see Dave King was in the director's box yesterday. Firs time for a long time, no?
  8. I agree with what you say rbr and Walter has largely done a fine job. However, I for one, am getting very frustrated with our overly defensive outlook and his apparent inability to change both that and several players' attitudes during games.
  9. Brilliant News! Please pass on all our good wishes to all the family mate!

  11. Let's just keep on topic and desist from the needless stuff...
  12. Written by Desmond Kane - not a friend of ours, even if much of the article is correct.... http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/football/desmond-kane/article/706/ Here's his thoughts on Neil Lennon which are less candid and objective. http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/football/desmond-kane/article/606/
  13. By the way, there's also nothing wrong with admitting to being wrong sometimes - it can be quite refreshing for the soul! Conceding that McCulloch may well have had the odd good game and contributed in spells to a reasonable level during his time here, while, at the same time, maintaining he's not good enough generally and has also performed badly too often doesn't mean people will disrespect you. Quite the opposite in fact. Obviously, I'm exempt from such self-deprecation because I'm always right.
  14. I'm everyone's best pal!
  15. As are most of us but it helps if we can debate in a friendly fashion without people throwing their toys out of the pram when they're proven to be wrong. Now, back on topic please.
  16. 1. You make point about McCulloch having never played well for us. 2. Others show that is patently untrue. 3. Instead of responding to disagree, you make a sarcastic, generic and flawed comment about opinions of McCulloch. 4. You then further dismiss the facts put to you, in favour of a childish dig at the size of the forum you regularly use. With respect, I urge you to rethink your style as it's clearly not one which will win you many friends.
  17. I think they are the bigger size already boss but possibly the image hack we use is chopping them. I'll try and have a look next week.
  18. Great response to people politely debating your point of view. Close the door on your way out please.
  19. Add in two titles, a close third, a run to the UEFA Cup final with some decent stuff in Europe generally (including away wins in Lyon and Lisbon) and being in contention again this season for 4 trophies; the argument against not playing McCulloch - who has been a mainstay in the team throughout these relative successes - isn't a very strong one. Again, nobody is suggesting McCulloch is a great player or essential to the team. However, to suggest he hasn't contributed (or is useless) is somewhat overly negative and not really worth debating when one looks at the facts.
  20. During our great run in December last year - widely considered the best football of Smith's return to Rangers - McCulloch partnered Davis in the centre of midfield.
  21. I'll do Sunday's game...
  22. What BD said... I actually think there is still a decent defender there somewhere. The lad has wasted the best part of his career though.
  23. After he went off last night, Edu and Davis didn't step up and only Ness was got stuck in and worked hard. Also, they all seemed positionally less disciplined and the ball was being given away much more easily than when McCulloch sits in the holding role. I'd like to reiterate I'm no McCulloch fan boy (and would prefer he didn't play actually) but anyone saying he's crap/finished clearly don't watch the same Rangers games I do.
  24. Really puzzled at why people would say McCulloch is crap and/or finished. Sure he's not the world's most glamorous player but, like Weir has done, he brings EPL/international experience and organisation to the team. His passing is decent, his shooting often rewarded and he does well in the air. Add in his versatlity, then his contribution has been pretty decent since he signed. Of course he's slow, falls out of games, tends to sit a bit too deep and picks up too many bookings but when compared to others in the team he's not been much worse - if at all.
  25. Would it be good if Davis was injured as well as he's not done anything of note now for long enough either?
