No probs mate but I thought the lads were in fine voice as per usual. I actually felt the atmosphere was reasonable enough generally on Saturday as well but I'm one bear who enjoys a crap ref like Collum as that seems to be one of the few things that allows folk to find their voice.

Rangers 2 - 1 Kilmarnock: Player Ratings and MoM Poll
Frankie replied to Frankie's topic in Rangers Chat
Yeah, agree with that. The lack of an out-ball was all too obvious as well. Lafferty tries hard and did quite well - same with Whittaker. However, we need a proper wide player with pace and the lack of one is extremely worrying. Jelavic would probably solve one problem while Tommy Smith and Barazite may help with the other. Time is of the essence though as Hibs will cause us more problems next week. -

Legally the position changes on a week-to-week basis. As it stands I don't think posting links would bring us any trouble but that could change and quickly. As such, I'd prefer we didn't post such resources. Most people know the main ones anyway.

Not heard anything Gav but I'd be surprised if Miller wanted to move so far South when he moved back up here for family reasons. Let's leave the criticism and generalisations about other forums out of threads please folks.

There were murmurings on the grapevine about the ownership saga last week but I think this story has about as much legs as James Beattie.

Easy to be harsh as he was awful at times but it is just his first game so happy to be patient. His lack of pace is a real worry though although he was quite adept at working the channels and finding space.

Superb as usual in the TBO section and the occasional song did spread round the stadium.

Still need more email addresses guys...

Slight positive is that we got Naismith after walking away so we can only hope same happens here... But obviously, chances are if we secure Beattie that will be that.

What a farce...

Can't judge him or the link I'm afraid...

Mail is using quotes from yesterday where Smith was at the Audi press-call. Express is suggesting Bain's quotes are more recent after they mentioned 24 hour deadline yesterday.

Good stuff.

'Express' suggest Beattie will be our only signing as the Smith/Jelavic deals are dead... http://www.express.co.uk/posts/view/192953/Rangers-chase-strike-ace-James-Beattie

McCulloch had a decent season last year - he certainly made more of a contribution than players who come in for far less criticism. In saying that, I find a 3 year contract astonishing unless it is structured in such a way that his pay reduces suitably each season. Having come from Wigan on a decent wage (surely around £15K p/week), I'd be very disappointed if we've offered an average utility player the same basic until he's 35 years old. As for Thomson, well he's a player I liked and was disappointed he left. However, while he publicly said he wanted to stay, whose to say what was happening behind closed doors? Maybe he wanted a wage increase in line with what a team like Boro would offer him? Fact is we do need continuity in the team amidst several players leaving. I appreciate McCulloch isn't everyone's cup of tea but I think he provides an under-rated contribution and is someone who has never hidden his love/commitment for the club while others have been less than straight. Keeping him maintains that continuity, keeps a Rangers man in the team and will hopefully see his confidence rise as any uncertainty about his future is removed. -
I'm reliably informed Smith is (or will be) in Glasgow today at some point as well.

Rangers have agreed a £1.5million fee with Stoke City for James Beattie.
