Of course it is. I'd rather than that give up though; no matter who difficult the challenge may be.

First let me start by saying I share everyone's frustration and disappointment with last night's result. The attitude of the players in the first half was unacceptable and I don't blame anyone for being angry or those that feel the title has gone. However, the fact of the matter is, we're only two goals behind and we can still win this title. As such, we must channel this anger and frustration in a positive way. On Saturday we play Aberdeen who we all know give us a hard game (even if they've not won at Ibrox for 18 years). They will have a large travelling support which, like Celtic, will sing the most disgusting of songs while taking great delight in our position behind Celtic. Nonetheless, they visit our ground. Our home. Ibrox Stadium: a place of legends; a place our kin have followed followed through the years; and a place where the greatest of achievements have been made. Is there any better stadium to play when the chips are down? As such, I challenge every bear to remember the very best of times. Remember the incredible victories of years past. From the Dunfermline's to the Celtic's to the Kiev's to the Parma's. As recently as last week, the sight of so many flags and so many fans enjoying a victory through unmatched vocal backing brings the battle fever on already. I'm desperate to be at Ibrox right now! Why? Because we can still win this league. And we can play our part (as always). Bring your RSC banner, stand tall before the game, wave your scarf, wear your colours, sing our songs. From the minute we arrive in the stadium we must convey to the players what this means. Everything! Our backing will help them play their way to victory. We need goals and we can get them with the kind of atmosphere usually reserved for Old Firm or European games. We can make the difference! WE ARE THE PEOPLE!

The one thing that last night has made clear is that we need to score goals (and several of them) if we're to regain the title. That will make for 2 exciting matches - not least on Saturday at a packed Ibrox - so we should all get behind the team and cheer them to the title!

Smith is useful whenever the team needs a more solid outlook. While he's not exciting going forward he negates the opposition wide players enough to allow us to play through Mendes and Davis (our supposed best creative players). However, sometimes, such a solid outlook is not necessary and more creative, forward thinking players are required (i.e. the 2nd half last night). Should we have started with a more offensive player there against Hibs? Possibly, but none of the players we've used there this season have convinced either so the argument is somewhat moot. In fact, given the attitude of the players (and the apparent motivational problems) it is far from certain a Novo, Fleck, Beasley or Aaron would have helped the team in that first half.

Fine summation mate. As I said in another thread, I actually can't wait for Saturday. 4-3-3 at Ibrox against the sheep needing at least 3 goals. Bring it on!
-
We've delayed this JB as we want to try and get more submissions from members via the weekly mass email that hasn't been sent recently due to me being on paternity leave.

Mendes is not any better than Barry Ferguson IMO. I do agree we need to try and retain positivity though John.

In hindsight I agree but before the game I wasn't all that unhappy with the team selection. Velicka was unlucky to be dropped for Celtic and Smith has been solid enough of late. I would have preferred Lafferty though and I think WS should have changed it earlier than half-time. We can moan about the manager all we want (and we'd be right many times) but once again the players attitude was a disgrace.
-
I don't disagree Craig but we have to believe we can do it or there's no point turning up. I can't wait for Saturday now actually. Should be one of the most open games at Ibrox I've seen for a long time.
-
No say as much as you like mate. Just avoid personal fall outs if possible. We;re all bears together and that's the last thing we want.
-
Will be the same team that finished tonight I'm sure. Perhaps Miller for Novo but other than that I don't foresee changes. We need to score at least 3 or 4 this Saturday as I can't see us beating Utd away by more than one goal.
-
Will make for a great game this Saturday for sure... I doubt we've got the firepower/creativity to score 3 or 4 without reply but we're not out of it.
-
Let's not fall out lads. We're all annoyed and we're all entitled to our opinions. Let's make them and respect others.
-
Nah, he's not been one of our better players. He's not done enough to deserve that. Bougherra, Weir and Boyd have all been better. Edu has done as much in midfield and even the invisible Steven Davis has contributed more in a forward sense. £3million for mediocrity unfortunately.
-
I'd have given no-one more than a 3 in the first half. Second half we improved but we weren't good enough to beat an awful Hibs side. We need players who can dominate games, create chances and change games through exciting play. We don't have that.
-
Mendes has been no more than average this season. For one of our main signings and a senior player he hasn't contributed enough.
-
Setanta angle wasn't clear but ball seemed to be over to me. However, players were to blame tonight for loss of points. All to often this season we've only played for 45mins or less.
-
Yep, and another player has to wait until next year before his offence is punished.
-
Pete: This will apply to you...

I predict I'll have several cans of Export at Ian's, be rather nervous and annoy his wfie and daughter by moaning loudly at the telly! No idea what the score will be!

Yeah supposed to be a good boozer. Central London apparently: http://www.rangersfcsalondonbranch.co.uk/ East Poultry Avenue, Smithfield, London, EC1

Unfortunately sponsorship is a necessary evil of playing in the SPL (and elsewhere to be fair). But, I agree, I'd like to see a nice simple Rangers top. IIRC, the club say more modern designs sell better as it is younger fans who buy them.

Lafferty is probably the most likely replacement one would think. Although just back from a few weeks out, he showed before his latest injury that he has the pace and strength to make it awkward for defences. And he can score goals. However, Velicka has done OK of late so he'll also expect to play. Could prove one of the most important decisions of the evening.

In terms of an England template, I can't do it in blue but I guess an away strip could look like this...
