  1. Their players and stadium are run by separate companies from their holding company which is how fergus McCann set up their corporate structure but it's still all 'Celtic'. The separate legal entity doesn't wash when we are talking about concealment of crimes. For me this is a morale issue and one in which individuals need to be pursued. The pursuit of individuals covers all legal entities and the roles played by individuals and the motives for their cover up. I don't think anyone could seriously say Celtic football club today are legally responsible for abuse at Celtic boys club over those 4 decades but it's pretty obvious that members of one organisation allegedly covered up the activities of the other (I don't know if they actively participated but that should be investigated) and the question is that if they did then to what extent, why they did it and if guilty how should they be punished. What comes across from the documentary is that the victims were scared of damaging their career prospects or were encouraged to keep quiet because of the reputational damage it would cause to the clubs (i.e. Celtic and Hibs). Considering this was supposed to be an explosive documentary taking months and no doubt costing a fair bit of cash to produce, Mark Daly and the BBC must be disappointed that no one appears to be interested across the rest of the medal or even n the Scottish government. Meanwhile handbags at 10 paces between mccoist and Lennon caused an absolute uproar.
  2. If he goes above a certain higher threshold he has to go round again at a higher price if I'm not mistaken but it's more than 35% across the concert party so 5% wouldn't be a problem and yes he keeps his 11m or what's left if it. The solution is not beyond his wealth but there's probably a sum due to Ashley shortly from the club. It's just dead money down the drain when we need money. Unless DK moves on we are in a cycle of loans from other directors which will run out and we will also not have European revenues. DK and the others will know all of this if course and the one positive is DK is a proper Rangers fan so hopefully he will do what is necessary (fund or walk) but if he stays I can't see prospects going forward. He appears to be getting a worsening reputation in financial circles and it wasn't great to start with.
  3. Given the performance of the Hibs 'journalist' perhaps there are a few in the general media who knew more and said nothing and did nothing. It's genuinely staggering that Celtic have not been slated for their 'distancing' act and suggesting concerned people contacted them instead of the police when it's clear they knew what was going on at their boys club and that Hibs have not been slaughtered in the media for apparently covering this up at the top of their organisation and directly allowing or even by their silence encouraging the recirculation of a child sex abuser to other clubs. I'm normally quite a calm person and phlegmatic and I hated the BJK song but I'm genuinely flabbergasted at the lack of interest in the alleged secret circulation of paedophiles in our game and the existence of what appears to be a paedophile ring at Celtic boys club and the relationship between ex directors of Celtic and the main perpetrator.
  4. Could well impact in UEFA FFP. Converting the loans to equity was the means to offset the claim we were running above the permissible debt. We may not be in Europe next year irrespective of position in league or cup. DK needs to sort this now , one way or the other.
  5. The list of boys club players who then went on to play for Celtic is incredible. The whole of porkheid knew what was going on. It took Fergus McCann 10 minutes to suss it out. Re Hibs - the disgrace of a man that was the journalist should be getting leaned on by the polis. It's clear Hibs covered up child abuse from the top of their organisation. The silence is deafening. Not one journalist or pundit has followed that up. The worst media in Europe.
  6. I would also read from that link that they were busy cleaning up the boys club. Wonder what they knew.
  7. http://thecelticboysclub.co.uk/the-club/aware-and-confident/ Look like 2 completely embedded organisations to me notwithstanding legal niceties.
  8. I'd be astonished if they did not know about this and covered it up. Their farcical 'distancing' of themselves early this week from the Boys Club is a strong indicator they know a lot more than is in the public domain. In 'distancing' themselves they may have further implicated themselves.
  9. He's f****d up is the long and the short if it. The others (LPT) must be fuming. Too much baggage now surrounding DK.
  10. Agree. And he would struggle in the English championship. His biggest weakness (apart from consistency) is his final pass or cross. He either decides he needs to buckle down and improves or we should punt him if we can.
  11. I think society is in a better place now to drag these people out from their hiding places than it was when that pathetic excuse of a journalist supported the Hibs / Kenny Waugh cover up Boabie. It won't come about by outrage on a Gers forum however. We need to email our politicians and speak to them to ensure that this is taken on. These kids (and now they are broken adults) were let down by people in authority. They have now had the courage to come forward. Don't let them down again.
  12. It's also not about 'individuals' it is about a cover up by football clubs. The question everyone needs to ask themselves is 'how they are going to respond'. Start putting pressure on politicians. Don't wait for someone else to do it.
  13. It's just staggering Boabie how much evidence has been out there for so long and how little our media and authorities have done about it. One thing is crystal clear from that article and from the programme last night and that is is how much pressure the club put on families and youngsters to kerp quiet and protect the club before the children. The Hibs issue is just about as incredible.
  14. First priority is to ensure full investigation supported by the Scottish govt and police takes place and gets all the facts onto the table. Once the police have finished their work an independent inquiry should establish the thoroughness of the police work and ensure that all relevant facts, motives, individuals etc have been examined. The time for deciding penalties is a bit down the road for me but should include all those who covered up as well as those who committed sexual crimes against children. Separating individual liability from corporate responsibility in this case may be confused with having agendas for or against particular clubs which may deflect from pursuit of the truth. It is good that we can now talk about this quite openly with the rest of society and the hiding places are being uncovered. I would strongly recommend that anyone who cares sends an email to their MSP and to leaders of the holyrood parties demanding to know what pressure they are going to apply to ensure a full public inquiry. Don't let these paedophiles and those complicit off the hook now that they are on it. It's up to all fans from all football clubs to take responsibility to ensure this is not swept back under the carpet. I will be sending my emails this week.
  15. I found the Celtic response difficult to understand. If you know anything contact the police. You don't contact an organisation that is clearly at the centre of a major cover up of the crimes you are reporting!. Also legally disassociating themselves from the Boys Club will not wash and in fairness to Daly he blew that one out the water. The organisations are deeply embedded with one another since inception of the Boys Club from a sporting, administrative, and commercial perspective.
  16. Grim viewing. Dreams destroyed. Lives destroyed. Almost wilful proliferation of child sex abuse at clubs. Let's hope this is the start of some ripping up of floorboards and along with the police investigation will lead to justice for the victims and prosecutions of those who were active or complicit in these crimes. A lot of people formerly in senior positions at clubs have serious questions to answer about what they knew, what criminal sexual activity they covered up, what their motives were for turning a blind eye and how widely this subculture of abuse was tolerated. Mark Daly could have dug deeper however it may not be straightforward with the police investigation taking place. Let's hope he follows up with the same vigour he has shown previously. What is disturbing is that it has taken so long for serious investigative journalism to build on the many leads that have been in the public domain for such a long time. Incidentally the non commital response by the police to the FOI request with respect to Neely and whether he was reported appears to be in accordance with sections 34 & 35 of the FOI Act. Daly could have made that clearer and it should be made clear on the BBC website. The formal police response to the FOI implies the matter is under investigation so they are saying nothing at this stage and it states that their silence does not mean they do not have the information.
  17. If it had been the other way round and Garner had put his head into the Aberdeen player in exactly the same circumstances and in the way Jack did it you can guarantee that the BBC 'pundits' (I use that term sarcastically) would be saying that Garner had intially provoked the incident with a late reckless tackle and had then acted violently towards the Aberdeen player. They would be saying that the Aberdeen player made the most of it by falling over but it was violent behaviour from Garner and a straight red. The 'penalty' was nothing at all and if England get one like that against Scotland in June the same 'experts' will be in uproar. There should have been 2 red cards for Aberdeen with the head butt and the studs up flying tackle or at the he very least the 'pundits' should be saying that Aberdeen were fortunate to get away with yellows.
  18. People who think our football club which some of us have actually been supporting for decades before they were born is exclusively theirs and we are just guests. Well they are wrong. I can't agree that the thread should 'go away' however. If it is obvious that the vast majority do not accept this song then we can demonstrate the sentiments are not in line with the values of our fans and club. Silence is slso often taken as being complicit, especially by those who want to harm Rangers. The value of this thread is that it shows the significant majority on here do not want to associate themselves with this song and don't accept it portrays the values of our club. I think it is healthier for Rangers if people outside understand that.
  19. Pedro was praising the passion of our supporters. I wonder if he knew what they were singing. Embarrassing self-harm and just wrong. The club should make an official statement to distance ourselves from these morons and remove their season tickets. It cannot be difficult to start identifying them. There is very little point everyone in the club working their socks off to reverse the damage of the last few years in our history if these morons continue singing anti RC songs. It is pretty difficult to attract investment through sponsorship or other means as it is. There is little point in normal fans investing their hard earned every home game when these idiots undermine that goodwill and investment at away games. Let's be straight - they are not 'supporters' of the club. They damage it. Club 1872 should also step in here with a statement btw.
  20. No there wasn't a deliberate attempt to turn against you. There was no motive for that from the fans. We would have assumed you voted FOR more money into the club. We then found our you didn't and to make it worse you use an excuse of being out the country when one of the most important business decisions in Rangers history was being made. Where were you? Dubai, Florida? You got your shares for nothing. You milked Rangers. Don't comment on who we should recruit , what style of football we should play, the state of our finances or what our operating model should be. You are no better than the Easdales or the rest of the ****s. Your excuse 'you were out the country' rangers fans aint so blooming stupid. Hand your FREE shares over to c1872 or shut the feck up. You are damaged goods mate.
  21. Looks like TP is trendy name for organise when being attacked and when you get the ball back know what your team mates are up to. Throw in a bit of fitness, pace and skill.
  22. Mccoist 'wondering where the money is coming from.' Technically he was entitled to grasp his gardening leave and technically he didn't have to dilute his shareholding but for him to query the financial wellbeing of the club and the direction of travel for our football style is s truly laughable and ironic. He is one of lives 'takers' no question. On the football front I don't think he did much that any quarter decent manager couldn't have done at a quarter of the price. Mccoist is a chancer if ever there was one. No doubt he made a few quid from his article to pay for a bottle or two of champagne. His advice is best ignored. His day has been and gone. He is not a Rangers man.
