its using child abuse as an excuse for oneupmanship. anyone who would use child abuse to their own advantage is scum. if they really cared about the kids involved they would be taking this to somewhere appropriate - like the council, or the police, or whatever.

so, if he acted like he does but came from more upper class roots it would be ok? and he's never appeared anything other than modest to me. to continue captaining your country after death threats to you and your family takes a fair bit of commitment, wouldn't you say? what more is that he should have achieved? the onyl thing he hasn't done is win the world cup. and its not his fault he's english.

after the la galaxy game i'm really excited about gow. perhaps irrationally so. i'd really like to see him get a game.

i think he's a much better footballer than murray. he's actually quite good with the ball at his feet, has fairly decent vision and is a much better central defender for the longer term.

i think he's been brilliant, to be honest. he's made a few errors, but he's shown an actual lightness of touch, a willingness to fight for the cause by playing out his actual position, and general competence in carrying out his duties. i was impressed with him against us last season. well done big man!

cheers lads. keeping an eye on the media even in small ways like internet articles at least gives us some sort of right-to-reply that we don't usually get from mass-produced widely distributed print. so, keep an eye out, and if there's anything you find objectionable get a mediawatch article written

its deliberately argumentative and polemic but he takes every opportunity to condescend us rangers supporting ogres from the security of his intellectual superiority - so i'm quite sure if he were ever to read it he'd appreciate a bit of literary criticism
