Smells like fear to me.

There's no doubt GvB is due some criticism but you're bang on the money ... when times are hard the main thing is to suck it up and stay in the race. With 7 months still to go in this title race, much can change.

I think we’ll win at Hearts. Maybe September isn’t the best time to judge a season

I know the world has gone a bit doolally but Rangers fans pessimistic about a visit to Tynecastle? Come on!

There’s a danger of over-analysing this. There have always been scumbags who act without respect or decency. They infest every club, every town, every country. Certain activities and associations attract more of them than others. All anyone can do is take responsibility for how they conduct themselves and decide who they share space with.

Every now and then someone posts something truly worthwhile. Genuine laugh out loud moment. 👌

Just the usual hysterical need to appoint scapegoats. Y'know, think of a player, any player, and perform the assassination ritual. There seems to be a keen belief that this is the route to winning trophies. Wright, Sands, Barisic, Kent, Matondo, Tillman, etc ....... take your pick

Here we go.

Whatever anyone thinks of him, I believe James Sands deserves acknowledgement for stepping into the breach in a period when he has often been one of the best of the bunch. Whether it's Sands, King, Souttar or Davies .... stepping into a creaking and poorly coordinated Rangers defence is going to be a challenge.

Gone. He has gone full Brandon Barker.

What do you honestly expect Rangers to achieve this season?
Bill replied to Graeme's topic in Rangers Chat
Right now I expect a season to forget. -
If John Greig was the right sort of Rangers captain and if Walter Smith was the right kind of Rangers manager, and that might be disputed, then we're a million miles away right now.
-
Unfortunately, it's hard to deny that all of these issues apply to our club at present.

Unfortunately Glen Kamara's desire crashed a long time ago. For the last two seasons at least, he's been a pale reflection of the player who joined us and it's no accident that no offers have come in for him. It's clear he's one of those who should have been moved on at the end of the 55 season. Instead, we have him locked in until God knows when.

We seem to have completely lost our way. I no longer know what kind of team we’re trying to be or how the manager plans to get there. We just seem to be drifting aimlessly, which is perhaps the worst condemnation of any manager.

What kind?

I can’t remember being less interested in a Rangers European tie. Just not up for this one at all. Worrying.
-
Actually, I couldn’t agree more, so would I.
-
I’d rather watch Highland League.

Steady on, if you take away speculation then a lot of people are going to be struggling for content. You might as well ask us to stop whining and complaining for no good reason.

Well it was one of his 3i colleagues who told me so you could be right but in my experience they're not all the same. -
Club Statement | RIFC raise injunction proceedings in the US
Bill replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
There has obviously been some consideration of opportunities, real or imagined, for further investment in the club. In fact it would be a surprise, not to mention a profound disappointment if the board didn't one of their key duties being to identify and assess avenues for new investment. That in itself should not automatically be seen as shareholders looking to fly the nest or a sign of fundamental disunity on the board, although it's probably safe to assume there are always shareholders who will be more keen than others to realise their share value. Whether or not the board is actually moving beyond mere exploration of opportunities has to be unknown and I would be very worried if such matters weren't dealt with in the strictest confidence. It's also worth bearing in mind that while shareholders own the club, it's the directors who run it and it happens from time to time that some shareholders can forget this distinction and act (wrongly) on their own accord ... it isn't clear whether this business with Kyle Fox could be one such example. Whatever the case, it now looks like any discussions that might have taken place are no longer being pursued by the board. -
It's a pity things have turned out like this but I'm sure they'll cope with the disappointment without any contribution from me. If not then they could always try stamping their feet in the hope it makes some difference. Everyone has a choice.
