GvB's future in doubt? What lunacy is this ffs? Whether it's what you want or not, the simple fact is he's not going anywhere. Nor should he at this time. As for the FFP issue, since we've run at a loss for so many years and I think it's calculated over a period of 5 years or so, our outgoings have naturally been a more significant part of our income than many other clubs. It's call rebuilding a basket case club. It also means that financial prudence has to continue until current levels of income start to dominate the equation. Like our manager, this is a reality people need to get into their heads. Even panty wetters. I keep saying it, our rebuild isn't over. We have a considerable journey still ahead of us before we can be the club everyone wants us to be and the road we travel is far from smooth.

I've never understood why people think that not voting is somehow a statement in itself. It's not, it's just a huffy display of petulance.

The Summer 2022 Rangers Transfer Window Rumours and Deals - Thread

If Rangers signs Ross Barkley then it will confirm the Panty Wetters were right and we have neither a plan nor hope. -

I’m not usually keen on knee jerk reaction to problems but it seems imprudent to play McLaughlin next week. -
I’d have voted for Barisic’s crossing but his defending was atrocious. Went for Sands as the best of a bad lot.

Them taking quick throw ins was specifically mentioned by GvB in his post-match comments as something the team had failed to take on board, so it sounds like that’s down to the players.

The Summer 2022 Rangers Transfer Window Rumours and Deals - Thread

The transfer window is closed and this topic should be too. -
No, I didn't say he was a great manager at all, you just made that up to justify yourself. I said he wasn't useless and was a serious manager.
-
I suppose it isn't Celtic's quality but the difference between the two teams that shocked me. They were definitely better than I expected them to be but, as you say, we were dreadful and appeared to misunderstand completely what these games are about. You'd think after more than a century that some bugger would write it in big letters across the dressing room walls ... you only win if you want to more than the other side.
-
And in this neck of the woods that means being better than Celtic and unless they have plans to bring back Neil Lennon, I think we have a problem.
-
What does it matter how good or bad they are in the CL? What difference will that make to what we witnessed today or our chances the next time we meet them? It's exactly this kind of point-scoring pissing contest that hides the truth.
-
The solution to this mess obviously lies with the management and players but I think there's also a need for some realism among the support. Since witnessing a humiliating defeat, where our rivals gave us the proverbial runaround for 90 minutes, I repeatedly read about how Celtic are "shit", "ordinary", "nothing special" and that if we had only turned up today we would surely have beaten them. This, of course, is pure delusion. From what I've seen, Celtic are better than us in every department. They pass better, they're direct, they're faster, hungrier, more aggressive,. They're better organised, more coordinated and appear to be far better prepared and motivated. Postecoglou isn't a fat useless Aussie, he's a serious manager who has a considerable track record of success and clearly understand what it takes to be the number one team in this parish. In a single season he's transformed a sinking ship, won the league, reached the CL group stages and created a team that is miles ahead of Rangers. So perhaps we need to give the Devil his due and admit the magnitude of the task facing Rangers. How is it possible there could be such a gulf in class between the teams we watched today? I didn't expect it to be so glaring and admit to being taken aback by how good they were. One thing is for sure, the distance between the two sides won't be closed by failing to admit it exists.

That’s the biggest question of all

Disgusted.

Well that really does take the fucking biscuit. Goalkeeping careers stand and fall on shit like that.
-
You can forgive mistakes but you can never forgive this lack of commitment. What happened to leadership on the park?
-
If we’re going to play with an isolated striker, I’d rather it was Morelos.
-
What to do at HT? Tillman, Davis, Kamara contributing next to nothing. Arfield, Jack and Wright seem obvious replacements but I doubt that will be enough to stop this humiliation.
-
Can we just give them the points and go home? They’re miles ahead of us.
-
They’re a yard faster than us all over the park and their movement off the ball makes us look ponderous. We have at least three players who are standing watching instead of getting involved but it’s all about Celtic’s desire being far above ours.
-
Tempo is the one reason I've occasionally doubted Kamara. He's a good player no doubt but he does tend to slow things down going forward. For that reason alone I'd rather have started Arfield in place of Kamara.
-
I can see no reason why Rangers should expect to do anything other than win this game today. The "opposition" has played no one of any account yet and has proven nothing. We have and against far better teams than them.
-
As in most OF games I've watched, tempo and energy will be the deciding factor. Start slow, lose fast.
-
I wouldn't be entirely surprised if Jack starts tomorrow.
