There are no end of "should haves" in football. It's of no importance. Lundstram was sent off when he shouldn't have been. Sands vice versa. It's history, who cares.

After contesting MOTM votes for the last few weeks, including a superb win in Eindhoven, you want to flaunt your wisdom by damning Sands with faint praise because he "worries " you. Give me strength.

Jimmy Sands deserved one yellow card yesterday. Not the one he got but the one he didn't get. Which is classic Scottish refereeing.

It's simple, they're not.

But still no one seems to know what it is. All I can find online are wild guesses and rhetoric. Surely someone must know.

James Sands has an air of Carlos Cuellar about him. I can think of no greater compliment.

It's not clear if that's pounds or euros and it still doesn't include TV and matchday receipts. Nor does it include our income from the last round against USG which would have included match day and TV income. For all the talk about income, it seems incredibly difficult to find out what that income will be, even a ballpark figure.

There are loads of conflicting views on social media about how much European income Rangers has earned so far this season. I suppose I could look it up on UEFA but does anyone here know the facts? What does CL qualification really mean for the club?

That's only valid if Alfredo can get over himself and put the team first. If he can then fine, if not then we don't need that sort of negativity in the squad.

All painful events for the beggars but I still think that day in May 1999 is a dagger in their hearts that they will never get over. Their equivalent of the 1969 cup final that still haunts me.

It's a long season. We'll do OK. So many changes it was bound to be a bit hit or miss for a few weeks. We've got over the first big hurdle, we'll take the rest as it comes.

No failures tonight. Everyone did their job. The players who have let themselves down a little recently all stood up and did themselves proud - McLaughlin, Goldson, Kamara, Barisic were all terrific.
