The domestic game is becoming a joke where referees are incompetent at best and cheating bastarts at worst. At least we generally have a fair crack of the whip in European football. -

If that had been a Scottish referee Lundstram would have been off for that tackle. -

That lineup suggests Gio doesn’t intend to spend the game on the back foot. -

I don’t think we’re a team that’s prone to being hammered but it’s a big step up to start winning against top clubs. -
You have to ask yourself, why does a player who’s been at a club as long as Morelos has been a Rangers player, and achieved so much, suddenly lose his way and get himself in this situation.

We don't look like a team that's ready for the CL challenge and it will be a huge but very pleasant surprise if we get past PSV tonight. You never know. -
I actually think GvB is giving Morelos a chance to get back in the team, a chance I'm not convinced he deserves. The manager is simply posing the question "how much do you want to play for this club" and everything, presumably, everything will depend on how the player answers the challenge. My guess is that his Rangers career is over and Ross Wilson will already be working on an exit. For the sake of the team, I hope it's over quickly.

There are very few players who leave as big a hole as they think they will. I don’t think Morelos is one of them

Club Statement | RIFC raise injunction proceedings in the US

Kyle Fox may well be guilty of jumping the gun but this smells like a case of no smoke without fire. I suspect moves are quietly afoot (not quietly enough it seems). -
To be frank, this is the sort of clear message that players and most fans want from our manager.

Is there a whiff of bullshit in the air? Things like this don't just materialise out of the ether. -
Who benefits most from inconsistent Scottish officials?

I'm far from convinced the bias is all unconscious but if the refereeing authorities aren't proactively addressing the risk of subliminal bias then that is effectively cheating too. The bias is too consistent in terms of direction and magnitude for it to be anything other than cheating. We do ourselves no favours by clinging to the fantasy that this is all just unfortunate incompetence. It might be easier than facing the hard reality of refereeing in Scotland but it just perpetuates the situation. Everything is rotten in Scotland these days and football is far too immersed in our tribalism for it not to be as bad as it gets. -
I voted for Sands. It seemed an easy decision

PSV 2 Rangers 1 Fgs - Lawrence -
Over the years I've become convinced that Collum, Clancy and some others are essentially cheating. Not just incompetent but cheating. What does that mean, cheating? Does it mean a premeditated intention to take decisions, deliberately and knowingly, with an objective of disadvantaging Rangers? Or is it an internal dislike of Rangers that subliminally influences their decision making. For instance, causing them to produce a red card when a more neutral stance would call for a yellow? In my book, cheating is whatever causes unfair decisions that, over a period, consistently disadvantage one club, whether deliberately or because of altered judgement. You might say that supporters suffer the same bias in their interpretation of referees, especially those who gain a certain negative reputation. The difference of course is that supporters don't have an official obligation to be impartial and to apply the rules consistently and fairly. Referees do and some of them are cheats.

To be fair to Matondo, he's pretty much where we would expect him to be this early in his Rangers career, which is nowhere near the hype flying around him. He might well become a valued player but so far he isn't even close. -
Morelos let down the club, his team mates and every supporter today. He should be apologising but he won't. We're down to ten men after a ridiculous refereeing decision and holding a slender lead, when Morelos decides his petulance again supersedes the interests of the club. As much as I've always liked him, I'm sick of his continuing inability to control his stupidity. Looking at the incidents again, I'm fairly confident Lundstram's red card will be rescinded but I expect Morelos' red will stand.

No matter how good it is, I'd have stopped toasting as a matter of principle.
