On a dreadful night for Rangers I think McLaughlin was the one player who didn’t let himself down. (and Scott Wright)
-
To think that a couple of hours ago we were fretting over Monaco or PSV 😆
-
There's no point blaming certain players. Other than McLaughlin, the entire team was abysmal. Worst I've seen in a long time.

At this point, a draw looks like an achievement.

Brutal. Hardly a breath of wind to offer any relief. I don't go up there any more without a mozzie head net and gloves.

Shareholding directors is ideal. Shareholders pass resolutions that obviously affect how the company is run … but directors run the company.

No, I just didn’t know. I’m on my way home from a couple of days in Kinlochbervie and was a bit worried it was one of those 5 o’clock jobs. I should make it in plenty time. Take it RTV is showing it? edit - I see your earlier post re RTV

What time is kickoff in foreign Johnny land?

I hope no one thinks they have to watch or listen to the BBC just because it happens to be broadcasting. Why would any Rangers fan be concerned whether or not the BBC sends people to Belgium?

I think there has been a tendency to overstate Bassey's achievements at Rangers. He was good and certainly getting better but he still has some way to go, as I believe we will see at Ajax. The good news is he will probably be far better player in a couple of years.

Union SG 1 Rangers 1 FGS - Goldson -
The only realistic choice is Tavernier. Lundstram, Goldson and Kent also had a decent game. No one else stood out.

Calvin Bassey? Rings a bell but can't seem to place him.

All new players do need time to settle in. Some need more than others. For some it might be a week, for others it could be months, some never settle.. The time to settle in is not necessarily related to the eventual contribution. -

Yup, to deny this is simply foolish. They can all kick and head a ball but only do so well when confidence is high and for many that requires time to feel accepted by staff, fans and fellow players. Unless of course robots are the future. -

Take away the shitshow 5 mins into the game and it would have felt much more like a dull but routine win. For whatever reason, Souttar looked like the shirt was too heavy for him and Barisic started all over the place. Souttar is better than that but like many before him it looks like he will need some time to settle in. Barisic, to his credit, knuckled down and turned in a decent second half, which helped support Kent. As you say, 3 points, however achieved, is mission accomplished. Football isn't always pretty. -
There isn't a commentator in the UK who is prepared to shut up occasionally and allow the audience to watch the football. I notice the difference when I'm in Sweden. Here it feels like it's a commentator show and the footy is incidental.

Ex-Rangers administrators David Whitehouse and Paul Clark in £21m settlement

I think most of that is a matter of record. The interesting question for me isn’t if Whyte did these things but whether or not he acted of his own accord or, knowingly or otherwise, was fulfilling the objectives of other parties. I’ve always felt it more likely, given Whyte’s background, that there were others pulling his strings, although it’s perfectly possible Whyte was to a greater or lesser extent unaware of it. It’s possible the more attention we give to Whyte, the less chance we have of ever seeing beyond him … but perhaps we’re now at the point where sleeping dogs will just be left to lie. -

After gloating over our stumbling performance for 70 minutes, it would be such a shame if Celtic f**ked up tomorrow 😉 -

From what we've seen pre-season and today, it's hard to see why Sands isn't owning that position. -

A number of positives from the second half, one of which is GvB's ability to recognise problems and his willingness to make changes. The difference in defence when James Sands replaced Souttar was huge. There wasn't moment of panic afterwards. Sands is becoming more impressive with every game he plays for us. Tillman is definitely starting quality. His introduction saw a level of pressure on Livi in front of goal that hadn't been there first half. Ryan Kent's desire and directness pulled the livi defence ever wider. I thought he had a terrific game. Very heartening to see Borna Barisic for picking himself up at HT and turning in a very solid performance after the break. Sadly, Kamara couldn't do the same and wasn't missed when he went off. And what do you say about Tavernier? Has to be MOTM. -

Nah, he's been fairly dreadful. Half-paced and half-hearted -

The solution is clear. We need the following substitutions .... King for Souttar and any volunteers under 50 from the stands for Barisic and Kamara
