  1. The purist at work. Sorry, the Communist Manifesto was never essential reading for me, nor was memorising core dogma. For me socialism was always about collective thought and action, all strictly controlled and directed at minimising individual rights. That's pretty much the SNP process in a nutshell so, Ladybird book or not, the SNP is the epitome of a national socialist movement.
  2. I used to be reluctant to fork out money for the fairground tat that used to line the shelves of Rangers shops. While not perfect, the improvement in quality of Castore products has been huge and I absolutely can't understand the continuing negativity from a small section of the fanbase. Don't like it, don't by it, but stop running down what has by any measure been a good move to contract with Castore.
  3. Does having the Castore emblem on the shirts prevent it being in stores worldwide. What did a "leading sportswear company" ever achieve for us that Castore hasn't? From what I can see, the Castore deal was a brilliant decision by Rangers' commercial team.
  4. Are you suggesting it's impossible to be nationalist and hard left? By my reckoning, Sturgeon's SNP is as close to being hard left as makes no odds - centralising govt, huge state interference, leadership cult, obsessive media control, &c. And all done in a nationalist context.
  5. Dundee Utd 0 Rangers 2 FGS - Kent
  6. No way, the club badly needs this money
  7. It's good to see the same ambition running through all parts of the club. Rangers Women are clearly heading to dominate their league.
  8. In the context of the article under discussion, that is a ridiculous thing to say.
  9. He's been the butt of ritual criticism for a long time now, which is strange since, as you rightly say, he's hardly played. Personally I won't miss him but the point I was making wasn't really about Jones anyway.
  10. What worries me about Jones leaving is that someone else will have to step up and be the whipping boy now.
  11. I think the main emotions should be relief that we're clearly still in this tie and nervousness that we can turn in that kind of (St Mirren, league cup) performance with some of our foundation players failing to do themselves any justice at all. On the whole I think any danger of complacency has been eliminated from the second leg but one more slip and we're toast.
  12. Can anyone remind me what the suspension situation is for the return leg. Is it the same.
  13. As someone who’s seen plenty of it … no it’s not
  14. Through the gloom Scott Wright has cemented his arrival. As for Davis … brilliant
  15. Goldson needs to sign that contract or go because his head didn’t join him m on the park tonight. Very unusual to see him as unfocused as this
  16. The biggest disappointment for me has been how ineffective Borna has been. Miles off his game.
  17. Keep the faith. It will only be over when it's over.
  18. No reward so far but a fine performance for a competitive away game at the start of August. We’re clearly the better team and could take them apart at Ibrox. Terrific first 45 for Itten.
  19. Nothing made public so far explains or justifies any conflict being fought in public - a sure sign there more to this than has been revealed. The most interesting aspect for me is it was the SPFL that felt it necessary to go public.
  20. I don’t know what this is about but I’m quite sure it has little to do with Cinch
  21. I suspect that if, as we all hope, Celtic sink from view the Tom the Tim will find a new and altogether more rewarding identity
  22. If we haven’t learned by now that rankings offer no guarantees then we never will. Unlike geology, in football the past is seldom a guide to the future. What matters is how two teams play on the day.
