Souttar has looked good recently but he was largely responsible for the goal we conceded at Killie. Some of the praise for him (and Balogun) for a performance against Livingston seems a bit OTT (to me).

Goldson didn't have a great season but he's still a good, reliable CB.

I think once the forwards have played more games together, we'll make more chances. I also think Beale plans to beat defensive set-ups with quick one two passing, triangles and the like.

There's no way Balogun will play if Goldson is fit.

I just worry that Beale will over-think it. Just play the best team and give Servette something to worry about.

Or just shoot more. The amount of times there's a shot on and we pass it wide instead does my nut in. I blame Arsene Wenger.

Can we not just call it defensive tactics instead of 'low block'? That sort of jargon reminds me of the pish I'm subjected to at work. If a team sets up defensively and is well organised, with fit players, it will nearly always be a struggle to get goals. Even the greatest sides often toil when the opposition play that way.

Queueing for the subway is far more interesting than watching Rangers, apparently. I think his game is based a lot on his fitness/physique but he's now past his best.

I thought Souttar and Goldson were both good at bringing the ball out from defence, Lammers played some nice stuff, Dessers got stuck in and Barisic played in some lovely crosses but Cantwell gets my vote, as he played well and never stopped.
