Attitude toward young players breaking through
Gonzo79 replied to Graeme Ro55's topic in Rangers Chat
To be fair, Bellingham is a class apart. We haven't produced any great players since Barry Ferguson and Allen McGregor. And at Rangers, every defeat is a crisis - it's not like other clubs. -

One problem we have with buying players from the likes of Aberdeen and Hibs is they'll charge us more. I didn't want Ferguson, mainly because of the utter drivel his dad and uncle spout via Scotland’s tabloid media. The whole family can sod off, as far as I'm concerned. -
I think they can do both of those things already. The English don't want or need Rangers. I accepted that over 20 years ago and have no idea why anyone thinks differently.

I'm sure the museum will be good but I keep getting the feeling the club (and support) get too hung up on past achievements. Memories don't win trophies.

I see another former idol (Gerrard) is off to Saudi Arabia. -

It's been real, Ryan. -
I can relate.

It's a popular misconception that City fans are glory hunters, easily dismissed with facts. Of course, it ain't what it used to be but the same goes for the support at all big EPL club matches (half and half scarves and selfies aplenty).

Was disappointed to see Inter lose. Used to like City but recent goings on have put me right off them. The footage of the blasé reaction of their fans after the goal and final whistle was a sad reflection of modern football but Seville was similar. Folk with money and little passion get tickets and normal punters struggle to get to the 'showpiece' matches. But City have plenty of really passionate fans. Hopefully more British fans get into lower league football, where you can still see proper tackles, don't have to wait for VAR decisions and mobile phones don't come out for corners and throw-ins.

My favourite pub in Glasgow was once owned by Tom Vallance. Handy for Ibrox too.

I often questioned his ability to do his main job, which was to assist and score goals. He was flippin' hopeless at both.

I think that's down to clubs in those leagues bringing through some terrific prospects and selling them on at high prices. We're starting to see a bit of that in Scotland, with players going to Italy but not enough to boost the coffers and player recruitment. -
Kent has been rubbish for the last two seasons. Can't believe anyone would vote for him as anything but a Flop but it just shows that we all see things differently. He's one player I won't miss one bit.

Not so sure about that. Plenty of other leagues have been left behind too, mainly because UEFA's focus is on the big five and making sure all the big clubs remain in the Champions League. -
Player of the Season ..... Cantwell Biggest Flop ..... Matondo Most Improved ..... Nobody Unsung Hero ..... Nobody Best Signing ..... Cantwell

Can I recommend Kelvingrove, rather than Govan, ya big Jessie.

Maybe Arfield thinks this will be an enjoyable venture and isn't too concerned about profits. He probably has enough money to do this, invest in stocks in shares and buy some property. I find the Louden a bit tacky and other options, in close proximity, to Ibrox would be good.

A pub next a a football stadium has a guaranteed customer base, on certain days. Why do we have to be negative about everything?

I would feel a lot warmer and fuzzier if it had resulted in a fatal injury. Ach well...

Come on, Cammy - we need to maintain our raging demeanour even during the Summer break.

I do enjoy reading some of the online overreaction to a fairly plain shirt. It's not a classic but looks decent enough.
