  1. Another thing about Goldson, why does he bother going up for corners? He is clearly incapable of heading the ball in the direction he wants it to go. We could've had 1,000,000 crosses today and still not scored. We should take different kinds of corners and wide players should aim for the byline and cut the ball back because crosses against that kind of defence are a total waste of time.
  2. I think the phrase 'bad day at the office' sums up today's performance. Goldson and Souttar both played poorly - they really need to react quicker to what's going on around them and stop falling over so easily.
  3. McCausland is a young winger. Young players tend to be a bit enigmatic, as do wingers, so I think we should give him a bit of a break. I like Silva bit he needs to create and/or score more.
  4. I think Motherwell will be tough tomorrow. An early goal would be good but 3 points is what it's all about.
  5. You've already explained that yourself above. The suffix means it resembles something, not that it is that thing. When someone is statuesque, it means they're like a statue. It doesn't mean they're an actual statue. I'm unsure what's confusing you about it. I stand by it. The constant whining about referees is yahooesque.
  6. I mean, I'm not suggesting posters like Bill, Frankie and Uilleam are yahoos, I'd have thought that was fairly obvious. The 'esque' suffix is quite widely used. Brian McClair is grotesque, for instance (grotto-esque, Italian etymology).
  7. Aye. "What does it mean when someone says esque? an adjective suffix indicating style, manner, resemblance, or distinctive character: arabesque; Romanesque; picturesque."
  8. I wrote "yahooesque" and "paranoid", not "paranoid yahoos". BTW, I think the refs in Scotland are shite, one or two of them are definitely questionable beyond that, I hate VAR and don't think that should've been a penalty, if football was refereed the way it should be (it's becoming a non-contact sport, played by diving fairies). But as things stand, it's a straight up penalty.
  9. Managers regularly moan about decisions. Pinch of salt required.
  10. Should've, could've - should have, could have. Christ, I feel like I'm back at work here. 🤣
  11. Bobby Madden is now the bearer of truth? Give me strength. I see McInnes is moaning about decisions last night too. At least everyone's joining in and agrees the officials are not very good at their job, albeit some coming from different angles (yahoos think they're all Masons, the "majority" of Rangers fans think they're all yahoos and diddy fans all think they're all Masons, yahoos and Masonic yahoos).
  12. The whole handball thing is a bit of a mess. Referees can't agree on it, with or without VAR. I'll have to check the 'point of contact' bit in the rules, as it's not something I've heard previously. It's nice to enjoy our winning run without any paranoia. I recommend it.
  13. Yes, handball penalties are not exclusively given at 'point if contact'. He raised his arm during contact with a ball which was heading into the box. It's 100% a penalty in modern football. Lundstram barely contested it. I get there are lots of poor decisions in Scottish football (Hearts penalty and St Mirren handball, just this week) but that wasn't one of them.
  14. I'm sure the board will largely take economics into account when it comes to our youth academy and bin it if it's not worth it. These things are always a bit of a gamble. The saddest aspect is that if anyone decent comes though, the likes of Chelsea will just snap them up. That's why it's more about economics than the first team. What's the profit on our women's team, by the way?
  15. I'd say that's a definite penalty in modern football, regardless of who's playing. See them given all the time. Arm raised when in contact with ball = penalty.
  16. Cortes, his wee feint just prior to the second goal was sublime.
  17. Refs quite often just wait for VAR to make penalty decisions nowadays. Blame the gimps who wanted VAR in the first place, not the referees.
  18. Why did whoever created the image use a pic with two injured players?
  19. This incessant moaning about refs is very yahooesque. Theirs was a stick on penalty. Good victory at a difficult venue.
  20. I'd actually shoot Barisic for losing that free kick. What a f*cking fanny he is.
  21. I like the look of that side. 'Mon The Rangers! 🇬🇧
