Cerny isn't endearing himself to the support. That miss combined with the tedious arms flailing 'come on' signal to the Govan front a while later - not a good combination.

I thought Barton did okay, apart from the obvious error.

I think it was more of a general moan about performances of late (aimed as much at his teammates as the manager).

Someone who can hold the ball up, does well against the scum and generally isn't an embarrassment.

I'd just like to reiterate how much I can't stand Cyriel Dessers. A diving fanny and a person who does nothing but make excuses for his poor play. His demeanour, constantly complaining to referees and opposition players (none of whom are listening) whilst play goes on, is utterly pathetic and not becoming of a professional sportsman. He's useless when it counts. We really need to get rid of him.

The bipolar support is here. We've bought some decent players. Others, not so good. That's the market we're in. I enjoyed watching Diamonde and Raskin get annoyed tonight. I'm sick of our players playing like they couldn't care less.

We should've skelped Malmo about 5-0 a week ago.

That was a hard watch. I didn't think any of our players played particularly poorly but their quality in the final third was light years ahead of ours. The referee seemed to constantly favour Lyon. We could've had a penalty for the tug on Dessers' shirt and definitely should've had a free kick for the foul on Diamonde right outside their box. Barron has been an excellent addition but overall our midfield just isn't good enough. Lawrence and Dowell would be nowhere near a good Rangers team.

The shoes are a bit of a disappointment.

Game kicks off at 8pm, with the subway closing at the usual time of 6pm. Anyone relying on public transport to get home might be struggling, depending on location (i.e. last train to Edinburgh is at 10pm). Not ideal.

If we've got out of paying the fee to Gent, it's good. I'd rather see him in the team than Dowell or Lawrence, although I doubt the manager agrees.

The rule is quite clear but interpretation is subjective. If the arm is in an unnatural position and the ball is initially kicked (or headed) from far enough away, it's a penalty. Souttar actually moved his arm in the direction of the ball on Sunday, so it was a clear penalty. The handball situation is a lot better than it was two or three years ago, when they were giving penalties any time a ball hit an arm.

I voted him MotM. Thought he was the one player who was constantly looking to get forward and playing with some urgency. Has to be Diamonde. We missed his ball retention yesterday.

But aren't the full-backs in attacking areas if they've vacated their defensive positions?

I thought it was a pretty obvious penalty yesterday (having seen the replays).

I thought we played okay, against a very well organised Hibs side, in the first half. The second half was truly awful. It's depressing how often we seem utterly incapable of putting these sorts of teams away.

I'm assuming Jefte will be back in the side today. Bit of a shame for the lad who played at LB on Thursday, as he put in a good shift. Hopefully we can convert a higher percentage of chances against the Leith tramps but the main thing is 3 points.
