You'd have to ask the players. There were three examples in last night's first half where you could tell the players knew it was offside. Fair point.

We could play Roofe, Itten and Hagi as a front three. Itten has a decent goal to game ratio and Hagi's end product is significantly better than Kent's. I'd go with Roofe, Morelos and Hagi. -
Coventry and QPR opted not to take a knee

A new year and taking the knee continues in England and Scotland. Studies show the BLM movement has had some negative impact on race relations, so why does this pre-match ritual continue? https://www.theguardian.com/world/2020/nov/27/black-lives-matter-has-increased-racial-tension-55-say-in-uk-poll -
Watching the Manc derby just now and the new offside thing, where the linesman don't raise their flag until several passes after someone is offside - what the fuck is that all about. The players know it's offside, so go all half-hearted. The linesman knows. The armchair fans know. The fans in the stadium would likely suspect it's offside. Where's the benefit!?

I think Barjonas is capable of stepping in for a couple of matches, here and there. -
Pump the brakes...we've won nothing yet.

Funnily enough, a mate and me predicted that would happen a few moments after he was sent off. The yahoos are so predictable in where and how they aim their hatred. -
Sad news. Terrific player for City and England.

Compo, not long ago you told us you wanted the title to go to the wire and now you're telling us you want them docked 12 points for doing something they got the go ahead for by the football authorities. ? -
Kent had another poor match on Saturday.

There is no point celebrating until we have our hands on the league trophy. Our current run is exceptional but there's a lot of work still to be done, including trips to grounds where we have regularly dropped points during Gerrard's tenure. When we do win the league, I plan to celebrate like never before and make sure any Tims in the vicinity are fully aware of it.

I don't think quarantine has been applied to 'elite' sports teams. -
Have a manager and captain ever perfectly symbolised a club more than Lennon and Brown at the scum?

It was just a hopeful ball/simple punt. ?

There are few better feelings in the world than knowing the supporters of Paedo FC are hurting. -

"James Tavernier thumped a hopeful ball downfield and that simple punt sparked a crisis in Celtic terrain. From his position in footballing no-man's land, too far up the park and not hard-working enough to retreat, Diego Laxalt watched the ball float over his head to where Bitton grappled with Morelos. The centre-back made a show of himself. He had no need to do what he did, no need to put himself in such peril. Had he let Morelos go, the striker would still have had a huge amount of work to do, still an enormous job on his hands to score. The probability is that he'd have got a shot on goal - hence Madden's verdict - but scoring from that angle would have been a trick that only the pre-eminent goalscorers would have been capable of pulling off." You can tell English is a rugby man. I'd expect better writing from a teenager. -

The BBC Tom English article is a poorly written piece of trash. When I read it, the Irish stereotype immediately sprung to mind. -

I won't celebrate until we have won the league. Given our previous form after the turn of the year under Gerrard, anyone thinking we've won the league is off his head. -

I'd switch Roofe with Morelos if Duffy is all over the latter. Roofe would have a field day with Duffy and SG seems to prefer the interchangeable front three (like Liverpool). I can't see Itten playing much of a part and am fairly certain the front three will be Kent, Roofe and Morelos. -

Rumour has it that @Rousseau is going to write a thesis on this momentous event and it'll be presented as a Gersnet article early next week.

I don't enjoy these matches - never have but we have nothing to fear. If we're set up correctly and apply ourselves, we will win. Over-confidence isn't a good thing but neither is fear. A victory would be like a dagger to the heart for Lennon and his team.
