This is a big game. Gerrard's record there is poor and if we intend to improve on the last two seasons, Rugby Park is as good as place as any to do so. I'd play the strongest available team - no messing about or tinkering. If we win, it's statement of intent. Drop points and it's going to look like nothing has changed (albeit the scum seem to have gotten worse, so it's not a total disaster). We can't get carried away about beating them or doing well in Europe because Gerrard has achieved both of these things without winning trophies.

They're running a business. Newcastle United sell a lot of shirts, no one can deny that. It remains to be seen whether this takes a turn for the worse but I'd imagine the issues with Turkish/Chinese/poor quality merchandise they've already sold our fans will have more detrimental impact on sales than them doing a deal with Newcastle.

Limited to 10,000, so they might be sold out before December. I won't be getting one (I don't like the collar and would probably never wear it) but I know a few people who bought one as soon as they went on sale. Castore haven't exactly covered themselves in glory with the merchandise problems noted previously.

There has been minimal fanfare preceding this fixture, which is a tad surprising but also understandable. I think most of us are expecting a win but games in Europe are rarely easy, so let's not take anything for granted. From what I've read, Lech Poznan might pose a different threat than we usually see, playing a high press and being fairly erratic in terms of outcome (if their gameplan works, it's great but if it doesn't, they tend to look amateurish). I'm hoping to see Roofe and Itten get some game time, a victory and no injuries.

They'd only have to make that sort of decision from Sat-Thur.

The last two questions are the most concerning.
