  1. Benfica, Porto, Villarreal and Feyenoord have been unable to beat us in the last couple of years. That would be impressive for any Rangers side. I'm happy with our European performances.
  2. That's the weakest bench we've had for a while (particularly in midfield).
  3. Another European game which, in previous seasons, would've been huge almost feels like a distraction. It'd be terrific to get a win tonight but I'd be satisfied with a draw against a very expensively assembled Benfica side. I don't expect to see anything unusual in our line up or how we play and hope we can take our chances and remain focused in defence.
  4. That lot would have a good shot at winning the victimhood Olympics.
  5. Maybe they think it's time Neil went home. Which could be construed as a 'hate crime' by their fellow Celtc fan, Humza Yousaf.
  6. The Green Brigade have been in the car park today with a 'time to go Neil' banner. ?
  7. It has been a great start. We threw away 3 points at Easter Road though (I'm not as bothered about the Livi game, as that was just one of those days). If Aribo, Kent, Hagi, Roofe and/or Morelos are all in form, we could run up a cricket score.
  8. Players like Kamara and Davis were excellent for periods last season but were also poor at other times. Which is one of the reasons I'm trying not to get too excited just now. Helender is a bit of an unsung hero - he's a very good defender. Arfield has also been great this season. Aribo looked class at the start of the season but hasn't hit those heights since he returned from injury. We can improve but I have no doubt there will be blips too - it's all about keeping those to an absolute minimum.
  9. I recall Bill McLaren referring to my brother, a mate and myself as 'the fitba p**fs' during High School rugby training. A few weeks later, I was forced to participate in a scrum and thought rugby forwards are probably more deserving of that derogatory term than football fans. I thought Tav was MotM on Sunday. He's as good as he has ever been at the moment.
  10. The chat I heard/read suggested it would be done on a geographical basis (ie. supporters who live closest to Ibrox would be given priority). I agree though, I don't see what difference 4k would make inside Ibrox. The groans might be more specific. I doubt I'll be at Ibrox at all this season.
  11. One game at a time. It's a cliche but it has its merits.
  12. That lot changing manager might see them improve or might see them get worse. Who knows. What we need to do is keep playing well, keep our feet on the ground and make sure we stay on top.
  13. Excellent performance and result today. I still think we could step up a couple of gears. Aribo, Kent and Morelos weren't at their best. We were toying with them in their own box quite a few times but didn't pull the trigger.
  14. Roofe reminds me a wee bit of Jelavic. Tav is in terrific form. Morelos looks off the boil. Good first half but we should be looking to score more goals.
  15. It's always nice to note that Ian Durrant has more league titles than Aberdeen FC.
  16. For some Bears forgiveness is easier than it is for the rest of us. That's fair enough but I have no time for the guy.
  17. I know what you mean but they've won every trophy since we returned to the to top flight (and will easily beat Hearts in the SC), continue to get important late goals and we have completely fell apart post-New Year both seasons under SG. I'm waiting til it's done before I get on the banter wagon.
  18. I always find it strange when we laugh at them before the final whistle. They get shitloads of late goals/winners.
  19. Ah, 'the theft of the century'. Thanks Google translate. They did their best to get revenge, in 1982 and 1986.
  20. I'd say it's a bit concerning, particularly as revenue will have decreased considerably in the last few months. We will have to start selling players either in January or next Summer, to get things back on an even keel.
  21. Michael Stewart never fails to demonstrate what a bitter man he is. He's totally incapable of objectivity or even stating his opinions with a facade of diplomacy. Someone with such a publicly partisan political and football outlook shouldn't be employed by a state funded broadcaster to analyse Scottish football.
  22. I'm not too bothered about Jones being shipped out but hope we give Edmundson a chance to redeem himself.
  23. It's another big match (aren't they all). Aberdeen are having a good season and have some decent players, as well as a manager who knows how to set up not to lose. Having said that, we are also having a good season and are in good form and have players who are well capable of scoring goals against far better sides than the sheep. Hopefully the international break doesn't negatively impact us and we turn up and win (an early goal would help). I'd play Kent, Hagi and Aribo behind Morelos.
  24. Annual trips to Amsterdam would be quite appealing. But so would banishing Separate Entity FC from these shores.
  25. If we're stuffing* teams in green and white, I'm not bothered if I have to watch it on the moon. *pun intended
