  1. Hagi is a class act. I sometimes think some of the other players aren't quite on his wavelength and that results in some things not working out but the more they train and play together, the more that side of things will improve. Can you imagine Hagi, Kent and Aribo all on form, with Itten, Roofe or Morelos up front? Defences would be destroyed.
  2. Good to get a win and another clean sheet. All in all, it has been a great eight days.
  3. Good to see Hagi get another assist and Defoe grab a goal. Our squad is better than it has been for years.
  4. By the way, Kemar Roofe. Some goal celebrations, particularly in big games, are like a mad release of adrenalin and totally visceral moments. Others are quite run of the mill and generic. But when that ball hit the net on Thursday night it was sheer joy for me. I knew we were going to win, so the pressure/tension had gone. It was just sheer joy. I think I have witnessed better goals and more important goals but that one was really something else. What a moment!
  5. Therein lies the problem.
  6. Incubation period is 3/4 days and we're currently playing every 3/4 days. If you want to cancel every match where an opposition player has had a recent positive test, then we may as well cancel the season. I have no doubt at all that some of our squad will be impacted at some stage.
  7. Football should definitely be cancelled now. I mean, how many innocent footballers have died as a result of this madness!? Scandalous!
  8. This new venture just sounds like a more solidified version of what the CL already is - a set up for the big clubs from the big leagues. I can see why Man Utd are keen, as there's no guarantee of them finishing in the top 4 at the moment. I agree but our televised domestic matches are on Sky and our EL games are on BT, so it all comes as part of the package (especially with the Covid restrictions currently in place).
  9. I'll be honest, I'm madly in love with Kemar Roofe.
  10. Coming from the land that time forgot (the Borders), I always thought people from East Lothian were remarkably civilised.
  11. We have only been drawn against SL once before. European Champions' Cup 1961/62 quarter-finals and they beat us 4-3, on aggregate. A score to settle, perhaps.
  12. For starters, it's great to be in the group stages for the third year running. Given the amount of qualifiers we've had to play, some against decent opponents, it is a terrific achievement. Standard Liege seem to be another good opponent, who have also had some very respectable European results in recent history. I'm looking forward to the match - our defence will need to be on form and our attackers will need to be clinical. I'd stick with Kamara, Davis and Arfield in midfield and start with Aribo, Morelos and Kent up front.
  13. Playing the bottom of the league side and Hamilton at home should be easy matches. But Hearts and Hamilton beat us earlier this year whilst the yahoos were beating all and sundry.
  14. I admit I was blasé in that regard, craig. I am aware you have a far greater understanding of junior football than I do and this conversation has very much demonstrated that.
  15. So what league was JohnMc referring to?
  16. False dawns (I've lost count), jumping the gun etc.
  17. Upon reviewing JohnMc's comments, I made the correct assumption.
  18. I assumed JohnMc would've been at least partially focused on our league (the top flight), given he is a Rangers fan and this is a Rangers forum.
  19. Did you miss our matches in the first quarter or 2020? Or their winning run?
  20. Are any of the top flight 'part time teams in particular', craig?
  21. There's an obvious contradiction in these two comments. I can't see the premiership being stopped early this season. Time will tell...
  22. I base my comment on the wider Rangers support, rather than this forum. The OP worries me. We totally f*cked up after our last victory at the Noncedome. I'm a pessimist...can't help it.
  23. Win a big game - we will win everything. Lose a big game or draw a diddy game - Gerrard must go.
  24. We played well on Saturday. They were awful though - no ideas, no creativity, no nothing. Yes, we were partly responsible for that due to good tactics and some exemplary performances but let's not get ahead of ourselves. A lot of work to be done. More so against the likes of Killie and Aberdeen than against a Celtc side who are on the way down but not out of fuel yet.
