SPFL Season declaration challenged legally (ongoing discussion)

This whole episode is a very clear demonstration of how good that lot are at infesting various institutions. -
I'm not sure Budge sets a good example* of how to run a football club but she may be on the right track in this instance. *Main Stand issues, Levein still on the payroll, banning fans for next to nothing etc.

New statement from the club: https://rangers.co.uk/news/headlines/club-statement-94/ -
With a decent set-up, I would hope the current situation might result in a few positives, such as worthwhile league reconstruction, a fairer distribution of funds and such like. But we don't have a decent set-up, so positive outcomes are unlikely.
-
I suppose that depends on percentages etc. Surely the opposition could be offered a reasonable percentage of the income, similar to Scottish Cup ties, which would make it worthwhile for everyone. Although I'm probably being to hopeful/idealistic.
-
I disagree, as all (capable) clubs, including Separate Entity FC, would surely agree this would be an economically sound way to deal with the situation.
-
The glamour of the EPL, the Spanish gruesome twosome and the three big hitters in Serie A is what they're after. Soggy afternoons in Motherwell and Dingwall hold no global interest, so there's nothing to gain by associating with Scottish football.
-
No foreigner (excluding the offspring of ex-pats) will invest in Scottish football. The Saudis plough money into the EPL as a means to increase their image or to launder their ill-gotten gains.

I can't believe Celtc fans seriously think the SPFL is pro-Rangers. ? -
Auchinleck crowned Champions.... wait for it....

I meant to ask you how your new job with Hollicom is going, Bill. ? -
Most footballers and their agents will be fully aware that the whole of Europe is affected, so pissing off a current employer probably won't bode well when looking for a new one. "You're skint so I'm leaving! Oh, everyone else is skint too.".

I have just read the comments on the BBC SPFL league reconstruction article. It's mainly infested by yahoos claiming this is all happening because the SPFL and SFA are staffed by Rangers people who want to see them lose out on 9 in a Row. ? -
Cracking footballer. Media lapdog. To be fair, he surpassed his older brother in footballing terms (mainly because he put his career first) but they are both a waste of column inches.
-
1st January 1994, Yahoos 2 - 4 Rangers. My first derby at the Piggery and what a day it was. I've seen us beat them at that dump a few times since but nothing will compare with that one.

Not only did they beat the 11 other teams, they also beat a global pandemic and the Masonic SPFL. Probably the greatest sporting achievement since Rocky Balboa beat Apollo Creed in Rocky II. -

Give it a couple of years and it'll be recognised by all and sundry* as 9 in a Row. *excluding us -
See you in 2030 then. ?

After 2012 and the recent vote, I must say I care far less than I would've a decade ago.
-
I suppose we'll have to wait and see what's going to happen with this season ending, next season starting and season ticket purchases before getting too analytical about the economic impact on Rangers FC. If Gerrard decides to keep playing Hagi wide, I think he'd be a bit of a waste of money. His ability to pick a cutting pass is exactly what we've been missing behind the striker(s).

Originally from Milnathort.

I'd imagine it will be listed in a Rangers Historian. Damn near impossible to know where to start looking though.

Surely anyone with any sense of reason or fairness would agree with this. -

Good to see influential people starting to speak up about this mess. -

I wonder what percentage of people who regularly attend Scottish football matches listen to Sportsound. I'd say less than 5%. I sit amongst Hearts, Hibs and Rangers ST holders at work and have never heard anyone discuss it. The SPFL will get what they want unless Rangers and some other clubs take action (Rangers are but probably need some support from influential figures in the game).
