A lot better yesterday, movement, pace and pressing further forward. If we can do the same against teams in the top half of the League, we will be making progress.

Was there a reason it wasn't pushed? I remember at the time there were a few saying how important it was, yet there didn't seem to be any urgency from the top.

Considering where the Manager came from, and his experience. Considering where the players came from and their previous experience. I would say we are about where we should expect to be, if we can keep our best players injury free, a second place would be a very good season. Signing for a big Club doesn't mean you turn into a better player overnight, though sometimes many in the support expect it.

Can you confirm it wasn't a MW signing? Who do you think it was who signed him? What I remember at the time, MW signed him against certain Directors wishes, whether it was true who knows.

He was a Manager signing, from his friend the Manager of Burnley.
