  1. Maximising our resources, whether young players coming through or creating other avenues of income, means we have to be more professional/streetwise than before. I just cannot see it with the present Owner/Board/Management.
  2. If he calls the years after Jim Baxter left surviving, dear God.
  3. ''Hopeful'' as in ?? Heard anything Frankie ?
  4. Seen a doctor recently.
  5. We don't know yet, tho' domestically it might be enough. Europe is another story, which I am not looking forward too.
  6. 14th July and we are doomed. Remember WS gave us :spl: in the last 2 seasons. Do you really think he will relinquish the title in his last season, without a fight?
  7. I think with the size of the squad, we have an overload in central areas, Davis, Edu, McCulloch, youngsters who have to get a chance, Ness and Shinnie, perhaps Stirling. I don't know where Naismith and Fleck are going to play. I liked Thomson, but he wasn't available for selection often enough, injuries, suspensions, perhaps with 1 year remaining it is for the best.
  8. Perhaps selling Thomson, allows us to keep Davis. Who else has 1 year left?
  9. 1 year left on his contract, players just need to sit out their last year and leave for nothing. Probably dictates the low price as well. Always thought Eagles had fell out with Coyle, and now it seems Laws, perhaps a disruptive player to bring in to the squad, Lafferty must have played with him at Burnley.
  10. It's a crazy business this following your team. You pays your money May/June to watch your team the following season, come July/August, sorry but we have to sell 2 or 3 players, and the replacements might not be of the same quality. It's a bit like paying to see the Beatles, and ending up watching Hermans Hermits [ sorry young 'uns] Why do supporters keep buying S/T, instead of tickets on a weekly basis, I know there are certain perks, but are they worth being treated like mushrooms. Why are there no A/Q sessions, I know the other side are doing it for S/T sales, but are we not worth a few nights of answering TRUTHFULLY, some of the concerns we have.
  11. Hansen talked about Spain playing the game the way it should be played, if waving imaginary cards at the ref all the time is the way to play the game, then heaven help football.
  12. Some of these so called great players, need to grow up. What an advertisement for football, ref was on a hiding to nothing, with the antics of grown men.
  13. Apart from the Mulgrew incident, I don't think he dives any more than other players. He does look very awkward, and I don't think that helps. He also reminds me of other players in the past, who were of the same build, ungainly, tall, lanky, as if they were still to grow into their frame. They were similar as in they could do very good things one minute, and the next trip over their own feet. George McLean in the sixties was the first I can remember, what an exasperating player he was, but similar in build to KL.
  14. I agree about shooting from outside the box, tho' I thought Boyd improved his shooting in the last 12 months, even had the confidence to start taking free kicks. Surely that improvment came about with practice, which begs the question!!
  15. ??????????? Please explain.
  16. The position he played against Poland for N Ireland. Either on his own or with Miller, I'll even say he will score more goals than Miller, if given the same opportunities.
  17. Lafferty will score goals, if he is played regulary in his correct position.
  18. Supporting Germany, some things never change
  19. Perhaps he didn't want to leave, but has since realised Walter doesn't fancy him. I don't blame him to be honest, WS isn't going to play him in Europe, if he goes for one up front.
  20. If Boyd signed a new contract, we might be able to sell in a years time and collect a fee. Letting someone like Boyd go for nothing, in our financial state, is crazy.
  21. Does he still not have the shares, but they are tied up in a Murray Company [?]. Why he allowed this to come about, doesn't say much for his judgement IMO.
  22. What was King doing when Murray got us into this position?
  23. Supporter ownership is dead in the water, I wish the Trust etc. would realise. Even Dave King, who they seemed to be backing recently has come out and said so.
  24. ''Debates like this one are few and far between, Someone must get our voice and ideas heard to the powers that be and to the movers and shakers like your good selves. If someone or some group could get their ideas for fan representation into some form of draft document. Then get this document out to all Rangers forums as an sounding board to the general support''. If A said yes, B would say no. It needs someone to cut out the deadwood and bruise a few egos, before anything can be done.
