Inspired by the posts above, my thoughts on the squad for next year in terms of who we keep, develop and sell (some reluctantly but probably necessary to fund incoming transfers) Keep GK: McLaughlin, McCrorie (ADD GK) Keep DEF: Tavernier (C), Balogun, King, Bassey, Devine (ADD 2 x CB, ADD LB) Keep MID: Lunstram, Jack, Arfield, Lowry, McKinnon (ADD CAM) Keep FWD: Morelos, Roofe, Sakala, Wright (ADD CF, ADD RW) That's only 23, but would prefer to add only 5 quality players that will be contenders for the 1st XI, and add other worthy youngsters to make the rest of the squad. The following I see retiring, moving on/loaned out, or be sold for decent money (if the right offers come in) Out GK: Firth, McGregor Out DEF: Helander, Barisic, Goldson, Simpson, Zukowski (loan), Katic Out MID: Kamara, Davis, Aribo, Kent, Ofoborh Out FWD: Itten I'd reluctantly add Morelos to that list if a good offer came in, but I think he'll stay. Bassey, I'd really want to keep unless a silly offer comes in e.g. £25m+, but equally can see him being sold for less. How we use our youngsters will be crucial. I really want to see Lowry command a regular place, and see more opportunities for King, McKinnon, Devine, McCann Weston and others. In fact I'd start from Saturday, they've already shown their quality against Hearts.

No shame at all. However, I don't think Frankfurt were 'better' than us, especially given who we had missing and with players out of position. We also didn't play well and Frankfurt won by the the skin of their teeth. I won't take anything away from this amazing team that made us dream all the way to penalties in a European final and credit to the coaching staff as well. My regret is that we were let down by bad luck with injuries and a lack of foresight (maybe you can't blame them) by the board and our Sporting Director who thought that it was a good idea to bring in Ramsey for a significant loan fee that would have been better spent on bolstering the squad particularly up front. This summer's transfer window is now a 'must win' for Wilson, to get the quality to navigate through (2?) CL qualifying rounds and wrestle the title back off that lot. There is no reason, with Gio at the helm and some quality additions, we can't dream again next season.

Exactly what I thought too. Anyway, no hard feelings with Ramsey, it could have happened to any of them. We just didn't play well enough on the night, but doesn't take anything away from this teams achievement and gives us confidence for next season.

Huge achievement in Europe, undoubtedly one of the best so far. However, we haven't won anything yet so I prefer to not talk about how good this team is until we can reflect back on things. It will go down as a season of missed opportunity if we win nothing, and decent season if we win the Scottish cup and one of our best ever seasons if we win both cups. So a lot riding on two games 🤞😬
