We do need someone but I don't think Boyd is the answer. I don't have any issues with the way he left, but will he be happy not being first choice? WIll he accept sitting on the bench most weeks, and have the correct attitude?I have my doubts.

No thanks from me.

Boyd has become a WORSE player down South, hard to imagine. But the way we play without him is far superior most of the time and more fluid. Body isn't the answer in my opinion.

Play Naismith and Jelavic up front or, my preferred option, play Jelavic and Lafferty - recently Lafferty has shown signs of comng good and Jelavic may just be able to assist that turnaround.

Why do we need Boyd back? Was last night not enough evidence that we have too many big strikers and they make a terrible pairing? Play Jelavic with Naismith or Fleck. We looked much more dangerous last night when Fleck and Jelavic came on.

If we sign anyone it should be a link up striker/forward. But personally with Naismith and Fleck I really don't think that is necessary. If anything we should be looking at a winger because Weiss is going to leave at the end of the season and suddenly we will have a static midfield again with nobody who can take on anyone

Do you remember how awful Boyd and Lafferty used to be when played together? When on earth has two big strikers ever worked?

Absolutely no thanks. Id rather get Velicka back than Boyd.

Miller will be missed but we still have good numbers upfront with Jelavic, Lafferty, Naismith, Fleck and Beattie.

If anything we still need a centre half unless Webster stays fit now, or a full back, but Broadfoot cant be far away from returning.

I have enough trust in Ness and Hutton in the centre midfield to cover McCulloch, Edu and Davis.

In the wide positions Weiss seems to be onto a game and the chap Kerkar could be done with a run. Wylde and Foster can also play advanced roles.

Obviously things get ugly if we get a few injuries.

The management have been aware of the possibility that Miller may leave for months so I trust they have someone in mind to replace Miller be that someone new or possibly Naismith. If it is Naisy then I trust they will spend the Miller fee on a midfield replacement - hopefully wide left!

Boyd is a resounding NO from me!
