Oh I don't know about that Frankie, he turned a one time world renowned Scottish institution into an economic basket case, sounds like a Tory to me! That kind of work usually gets you a peerage. :)

Not so sure, his penchant for spending other peoples money is a very Socialist trait!

As for his political leanings being relevant, I don't want to see an independence seeking Scottish Nationalist ex pat controlling the direction of our club

Hurrah! Then I can reply with a message of hope & good cheer which will allow you to rest your sphincter.

McColl is not trying to control the direction of our club. He's trying to get professional corporate accountancy inside Ibrox, to ensure the money that comes in & out is on the level and on the books.

To be honest anyone who objects to that has to be the object of some suspicion, given what's been going on.

but what's in this for McColl? what's he trying to achieve given the fact he's no interest in owning or running Rangers. This is what I don't get

I stated previously he was a non contributer so he did not have the right to dictate, same goes for PM.

JM should stay out of the independance debate as well as he probably does not contribute to the country either.

First it was bollocks, now it's sphincters, so much for pettiness.

I don't see why any shareholder wouldn't have the right to have an opinion, which is what he has put forward. He's looking for a vote - hardly the actions of a dictator.

Contributing to Scotland/UK? Aside from employing people I suppose. Perhaps he diverts their tax to his secret island in the Indian Ocean somewhere instead of the Treasury. And how do you get a ticket for this independance?

Petty and proud. There's too much at stake for half-arsed effluence (there's two more for you) to stand unchallenged.

You and quite a few other people (elsewhere) seem to be missing the important key points in all of this and making it personal about McColl & Murray when it isn't all about them.

Jim McColl is simply a well known, highly respected & well connected small shareholder who's putting his name on the line as a figurehead for the shareholders who want a boardroom clear out.

The fact that he hasn't invested any significant amount of cash (that we know of!) is completely irrellevant for a figurehead who has the backing of such a large percentage of shareholders.

Even just on the Requisition Notice alone he has signatures from almost 25% of the company shareholding and there's absolutely no doubt at all that the figure will have increased significantly since a month ago.

It's not Jim McColl and the 24%+ of shareholders backing him in the Requisition Notice who've turned our club into a dog & pony show and pantomime act rolled into one. It's Green, his cohorts and their backers who've managed to pull that off all on their own.

Time to send the current board packing!

Straight from Jack Irvine's script!

As a matter of interest what are Brian Stockbridge's political beliefs, or Mather, or Ahmed or Green for that matter? I demand they state them publicly, the thought police should get onto this right away.

Why was he not defending us from the mhedia whilst we were paying him for the last few years then?

Because this time he will feed the media 'dirt' which they will never turn down. What you are talking about is turning on the media, which is a different ball game to these guys who have to work hand in hand with them.
