when lemon talks about septic fans having being provoked by Ajax fans ripping up seats a full seven days before the return match in Amsterdam you have to stop and think about what kind of people hold a grudge about someone ripping up some inanimate objects in their home football stadium. It's not as if they can't be replaced, not as if any of them injured anyone, not as if Ajax are not going to pay for that damage.

so how long can a rational human being hold that level of aggravation, for what was a limited amount of offence? for lemon to then hold that up as a reason for the septic fans behaviour, not only shows that we're talking about the true, unevolved of our society, but a manager who believes that there is very base reasoning for attacking police officers and behaving in a fashion that has no place in a developed society, he also needs to be brought to task for his comments.

but the reality is that this will all pass by within a couple of days and the untouchables will continue to be just that.

Why are FARE not lobbying Uefa with regards Celtic fans singing sectarian songs?

Because FARE is run by PIarra Powar who is the husband/partner of a celti*c supporter. FARE will do anything to get their opponents/rivals into bother and will turn a blind eye to anything Celt*c do. The whole thing is so corrupt you couldn't make it up

How many times have our fans been conclusively involved in shenadigans like this in recent years? The only real example is Manchester IIRC.

The east end mob seem to be involved in activities like this numerous times a year. There was a post on FF a while ago listing all the examples of trouble they have caused in modern times. It was exhaustive. Anyone else remember it?

UEFA disciplinary for Ajax over sectarian banner at Celtic game

UEFA has opened disciplinary proceedings against Ajax over a sectarian banner unveiled during their Champions League tie against Celtic.

In a U-turn on their previous stance, the governing body confirmed it was opening proceedings against the Dutch champions after the "fe***n b******s" banner was unveiled at the Amsterdam Arena.

Images of the banner, which was unveiled as part of a stadium-wide display before kick-off, were widely circulated on social media sites.

The governing body stated on Friday it had opened the investigation against UEFA after the "discriminatory behaviour of their fans" under article 14 of its disciplinary regulations.

Previously, UEFA said it had received no official reports of offensive behaviour by Ajax or Celtic fans during Wednesday's Champions League match.

The case against Ajax will be dealt with the UEFA’s control and disciplinary body on November 12.

A spokesman for Celtic said: "We have already been informed by UEFA's own security officer that he reported this matter together with photographic evidence.

"This is in addition to complaints submitted by Celtic supporters who are understandably deeply offended."

Press reports on Thursday also claimed visiting Celtic fans had been involved in "sectarian chanting" aimed at Ajax boss Frank de Boer during the 1-0 defeat in Amsterdam.

However, UEFA has not opened any proceedings against the Parkhead club over the conduct of its support.

The tie was surrounded in controversy after 39 football fans, including 18 Celtic supporters, were arrested amid violent clashes involving police in Dam Square on the day of the game.

It comes after UEFA opened disciplinary proceedings against Ajax over the conduct of their supporters during the first Champions League group game between the teams at Parkhead last month.

The Dutch supporters tore up seats and damaged Celtic Park during the game, which they lost 2-1.

UEFA hasn't opened any proceedings against the 'parkhead club' over sectarian chanting ? are they deaf ? has Lunny got a job with UEFA too? do I detect influence from the discredited & corrupt FARE organisation in ignoring the sectarian chants from the supporters of the 'parkhead club'?

Is it not the case that they only investigate if there are enough complaints, BHEAST style?
