The Summer Transfer Rumour Round-up Thread

Recommended Posts

Think many of our loans performed well and were well accepted at various clubs.

If not involved in our squad, those who did well will probably be going back out on loan but hopefully at a higher level than before.

eg. McCrorie could go back to Ayr as they have moved up a division and you'd hope that Hardie could go to a top tier side (probably in the bottom six) and get gametime.

Sounds like a fictional character :-)

I think it's Robbie.

Robby McCrorie is a goalkeeper

Ross McCrorie is a defender (I think he's a right back)

edit

They appear to be twins according to their DoB on the official site.

Jordan Thompson trains with the first team all the time does he not?

He does. Wasn't he looked at for a youth contract but impressed sufficiently to get a first team gig. Really want to see more of him: tipped to do very well. Hope he gets a chance

Ross is a centre half, has trained with the 1st team, is very highly thought of and has had at least one Academy coach saying that he could be a potential future captain.

Croatia midfielder Niko Krancjar will arrive in Glasgow on Wednesday for a medical ahead of a proposed move to Rangers, says his lawyer.

There is a two-year contract on offer to the 31-year-old from the Ibrox club.

The 31-year-old former Tottenham, QPR and Dynamo Kiev player is a free agent following a spell with New York Cosmos.

Krancjar, capped 81 times for his country, wants to return to Europe for a "fresh challenge", lawyer Emil Zgur told BBC Scotland.

He is not at Euro 2016 and has not represented Croatia since 2013.

RANGERS are closing in on a deal for midfielder Niko Kranjcar as Jamaican defender Adrian Mariappa considers his options ahead of a potential Ibrox switch.

Kranjcar is expected to arrive at Murray Park within the next 48 hours to undergo a medical before putting pen-to-paper on a two-year deal with the Light Blues on Wednesday.

Boss Mark Warburton flew out to America last month to hold talks with Kranjcar as he looked to convince him to quit the New York Cosmos at the end of his short-term deal and make the move to Ibrox.

The capture of the highly-rated Croatian would be Warburton’s sixth acquisition of the summer following the captures of Matt Crooks, Josh Windass, Jordan Rossiter, Joey Barton and Clint Hill as the Gers prepare for a crack at the Premiership title next term.

And the 31-year-old could yet be joined in Glasgow by Mariappa as Rangers look to clinch a deal for the former Watford, Reading and Crystal Palace stopper.

Head of Recruitment Frank McParland and assistant David Weir held preliminary talks with Mariappa in Glasgow over the weekend as they look to bring him on board this summer.

SportTimes understands that a deal is still a possibility and Mariappa is now mulling over his options following his release from Selhurst Park
