The Summer Transfer Rumour Round-up Thread

Kranjcar isn't 33, he's 31

Barton is 33

Kranjcar is still a quality player. Would be as good a signing as Barton IMHO.

your right Craig he is 31 got mixed up with him and Barton.

not sure he is a quality player anymore, admittedly not seen any of league 2 in america to judge it, guess if reports are true we will find out soon enough

Suggestions in today's Record that Clint Hill be joining but perhaps primarily from a coaching perspective.

There is obviously a limit to how much you can do this but MW seems to like going down this road.

Eustace, Miller and now possibly Hill.

I think it increases the motivation of the individuals in that they want to be seen as an example when and if they play, eg. Kenny Miller......... This significantly shortening the odds on getting a good return on the pitch compared to many other older players whose motivation can be a problem.

Downside can be injuries, eg. Eustace.

You have to keep in mind Kranjcar is only in America to regain fitness. Due to the start date of the USA football calendar it allowed him to get a preseason under his belt after a lengthy spell on the sidelines.

Khalid Aucho’s move to Rangers in Scotland hits brickwall

Gor Mahia’s midfieder Khalid Aucho’s transfer to Scottish giants Glasgow Rangers has hit a brickwall after in what his agent Geoffrey Kavemba describes as unwillingness by Gor Mahia to issue a release letter for the player.

A touch speaking Kavemba is reading mischief as he alluded to the fact that his client was being denied an opportunity to further his career as he accused Gor Mahia officials of playing cat and mouse games avoiding the issue.

“I am disappointed Gor Mahia officials are not willing to dispense with the matter as they keep on avoiding me.Its a golden opportunity for the player to further his career he has given the team so much and it would have been nice to see Gor Mahia reciprocate by giving him a release letter”Kavemba said.

A Gor Mahia official who sort anonymity however rubbished the claims saying they had not been officially approached about the issue and have been reading the news in the media.

“Its unfortunate we are being labelled yet the matter had not been brought to our attention our job is not to deny players opportunities it can be resolved amicably as long as the rules governing players transfer are followed to the latter and proper transfer mechanism” the source said

The Ugandan international has been a cog in Gor’s midfield since joining the Kenyan Premier League champions in January 2015 from Tusker FC. According to various media outlets in Scotland the newly promoted Rangers are interested in signing the player.

Rangers’ fans took to Twitter to urge the club to sign the midfielder this June with the hash tag #SignKhalidAaucho trending in Scotland.

Barton set to miss US trip

JOEY Barton will miss Rangers’ pre-season trip to the United States after being given extra time off after winning the Championship with Burnley.

The 33-year-old’s name was reportedly left off a visa squad list sent to the US Embassy by the Ibrox club.

But the midfielder could have faced problems entering the US anyway thanks to his criminal record - which saw him denied entry during a similar trip with Newcastle. (Scottish Sun)

So the Sun got their fingers on a naughty story and lead the way now. How could Bad Boy Barton a.k.a. "Triple B" dare to mouth off against "Single B" Brown?! There must be some club to beat him with!!!
