Transfer Rumours and Deals - Winter Window 2016/17

St Johnstone want Rangers forward Michael O’Halloran back but face fight to land him

Other Premiership sides want the 26-year-old forward who is being allowed to go out on loan in the window.

St Johnstone face competition to bring back Michael O’Halloran from Rangers .

The Ibrox giants are willing to let the forward leave in this window despite only having signed him on deadline day last February.O’Halloran has found his first-team opportunities restricted this season and has made only 13 appearances in the league.

Rangers would consider allowing the 26-year-old go out on loan to free up cash to go back into the transfer market.

And O’Halloran’s old club St Johnstone are leading the race to re-sign him. However, Record Sport understands three other Premiership clubs are also keen on bringing in the pacey wideman.

Rangers on Tuesday tied up a loan move for Bournemouth’s Emerson Hyndman and are also expected to seal the deal for Arsenal midfielder Jon Toral today.

But a report claiming Mark Warburton failed in a bid to sign West Ham starlet Domingos Quina on loan appears wide of the mark.

Ibrox sources have told Record Sport Quina was not on a list of targets.

Doesn't seem like he's been given a fair chance to prove himself! He needs a decent run in the team!

I personally don't think he needs a decent run in the team to see that he can't shoot and his final ball is awful. Other than pace, I fail to see what he actually brings to us as a footballer. For a winger, his "head down and run" just doesn't really work.

Stuff the transfer window lets go with what we have get a settled 11 and play them game in game out to see if they can gel into a decent team if not then a clear out at the end of the season .

Keep up! You're too late: we've signed two loanees already.

Besides which, we're another injury or two away from significant problems, especially in midfield.

My gut-feeling says that at least one of the two loanees are not one of the two "almost done deals" that were spoken about in December.

As for Toral, we have no clue whether he's up for grabs next summer.
