Who is the best player ever to have played at Ibrox.

Recommended Posts

In theory he played left midfield but constantly came inside and ran the game from the centre circle. Rangers held on doggedly in the last-16 Champions League tie and twice came from behind through Lovenkrands and Buffel to draw 2-2 before going down 1-0 in El Madrigal to the side that then beat Inter Milan before going out in the semis to Arsenal.

Might have been ten years ago but I remember Lovenkrands putting us in front (with his right foot too!).

Quite right it was 1-1. I was there and got knocked over and nearly sent flying when we scored.

Boyd missed a sitter to put us through in the last few seconds.

He never played that well when they played us at Ibrox, but I loved seeing Hagi play against us for Galatassaray.

I never seen Hagi but I have see plenty Haddy's playing at Ibrox.:D

Remember Alexei Mikhailichenko? He was arguably the most skilful player we had but he didn't like to run. I remember Walter saying that when they played 5-a-side matches no one could get the ball from him.

Ron McKinnon took him to a party in Castlemilk after the game.

It was Baxter and Drumchaple

MARGOT McCuaig from Purple TV in Govan who directed the Jim Baxter documentary, found footage of Jim talking about the time he took Real Madrid's Ferenc Puskas to a house party in Drumchapel after a European tie - oh come on, they did great parties in Drumchapel. The superb Puskas became friendly with a local girl in the house's scullery. As Jim explained: "I've always thought there should be a plaque in Drumchapel which would state 'The great footballer Puskas scored here'."
