How did we lose that game?  We just couldn't take our chances.  Twice we had a chance to score, and they break away and score.  Morelos worked so hard but that miss at the end was a shocker.

 

Murty has to get the team back up after that and get them playing the way we have been.  Today showed we are able to beat them now.  We just have to do it.

Murty outthought by Rodgers. Windass is obviously the golden boy. They were better with 10 men, better organised. Shocking defending, apart from that a good performance

It is what it is. We should/could have won this game and they and everyone else knows it. The gap has been closed and if not for the disastrous first half of the season we would have been romping this league.

 

Just move on, win the cup, and strengthen in the Summer window.  We don't need much now to make this a title winning team.

Poor defending for 2 out of the 3 goals , worst thing that happened was them getting a player sent off , they sat deep and attacked with pace and power , we were back to where we were at the seasons start , unable to break a packed defence down.

 

however we are a million miles closer than we were , a decent summer transfer period and we will be ok .

 

Murty will get stick but I thought he set the team out well , losing Bates was a blow , hopefully he isn't out long .

It's SBS, he hasn't had much "to cheer" about of late.

 

The point today is that we have been closer to them than ever in the last six years. The big problem of this season was the transition stage when we lost games on the cheap at home.

 

Today it was even steven on the park and call me silly, but they scored one really good goal at the end, the rest was down to sheer luck either in build-up or execution. You see Brown lumping a clearance up the park and it bounces perfectly for Dembele. Then you see Morelos 2 yards out and his shinguard-shot hits the post and falls to the keeper. Not to mention his free run on goal.

 

We can draw satisfaction that we can play better than today ... and it is time to produce it against them.
