From a corresponding thread over on FF with ITKer ID10 essentially confirming the links ...

Leaving:

Josh Windass - Cardiff £3m
Eduardo Herrera - Chivas £600k
James Tavernier - Crystal Palace £4m

Incoming:

Adam Lewis - Liverpool Leftback

600k for Herrera, no matter how much we paid for him, is a steal.  He's like the invisible man at Ibrox.

3 million from Windass is decent - I think he is under-rated by our support, but he is replaceable and certainly at 3 million, we could bring in at least one if not two decent enough additions.

4 million for Tav is a lot of money too - but I'm not sure I would want him to leave.  Another that is replaceable but I think he offers us a lot too.  On the fence with that one.

If Lewis is coming in it would suggest that Wallace is done.

Yep, we have John for the LB slot and I can't see Wallace being No. 2 to anyone at his age. Lewis is but 18 and we do have Myles Beerman as well. If Lewis is doing his job well enough, John could be moved further up the field (he was a LM before turned into LB) in case of need.

Adam Lewis

Should Tavernier lave, we sure need a quality RB and a back up for that role as well. Dunno how good our Development FBs are.

Those numbers sound probably too good to be true I'd suggest. I would be very underwhelmed by Declan John being replaced by an 18 year old on loan.

Regarding McBurnie, I've seen very little of him but from what I've heard and read £4m would be good value and we'd more than make our money back on him.

However we all know if £4m is being spent it should be on a centre back.

Slightly off topic, but did anyone hear on the night of the Aberdeen games the BBC pundits comparing the total value of the Rangers and Celtic squads? They estimated Celtic's team was worth £80m in transfer fees and ours was £15m. They were responding to Dave King's pack of cards claim and seemed to be really enjoying debunking it. But to claim selling our whole team would only raise £15m was a bit of an insult I thought.

I think rating our team @ £15 is quite generous (based on recent performances)......

Ceptic's main problem is not in the teams transfer value, it is in the wages being paid.  Missing out on CL money could have them tightening their belt somewhat.  Its all well & good valuing a player @ £10m, but only if someone is willing to pay that.  We could value our 1st team @ £500m....doesn't mean we'd ever get anywhere near it.

One of the key factors in Rangers challenging for the league over the next few years is Celtic failing to qualify for the CL group stage. They cannot maintain the same level of squad without it.

Surely Tierney and Dembele are worth £40M each. I heard that they were only a few months ago. What has happened? Bearish market conditions?

If they fail, they lose, apparently £30M; if we qualify we gain, apparently £30M.

That's a £60M swing in one year. House of cards, surely not.....
