Yes the players are on holiday. But guy I know lives next door to a certain Rangers striker in Tarbolton. Been asked to keep an eye on his house while hes away on his hols. And said Rangers striker told him that Ian Durrant has informed the players that there is no money for players.

Brellier's Rangers link dismissed

Former Hearts midfielder Julien Brellier

Julien Brellier had impressed while with Hearts

Julien Brellier's agent has dismissed talk of the former Hearts midfielder joining Rangers.

The 25-year-old had been quoted as saying that his agent was in talks with Rangers, but it now looks unlikely that the Frenchman will remain in Scotland.

But Maurizio de Giorgis told BBC Sport: "Julien is still on holiday, so there is no news on where he might be going.

"But, to be honest, I never actually had any contact with Rangers anyway. It was just all rumours."

Brellier, who arrived in 2005 after leaving Inter Milan, rejected the offer of a new contract at Tynecastle.

And he has since been critical of the regime at Hearts under Vladimir Romanov.

Brellier impressed during his time in Edinburgh, leading to suggestions that other Scottish Premier League clubs could be interested.

But De Giorgis added: "With every day that passes, there is less and less chance of him staying in Scotland."

Here today,gone tomorrow.:(

Well apparently, SDM smoke and mirrors have been in full effect this close season all ready. If everyone is to be believed, we had £3.5M to spend on one player (Brown). Looking at the targets now that we have missed Brown, that £3.5M would get us Celluar, Naismith and say, for arguements sake, David Heally.

Now, I am sure that WS wouldn't have spent his entire budget on one player (Brown), so it is safe to say (well as safe as anything is when SDM is concerned) that WS believed that he had more than £3.5M to spend.

Brown has gone and sold his soul to the devil and we are no further forward with new signings and pre-season training is on the horizon and before we know it, the CL qualifiers will be upon us.

It wouldn't be like SDM to await the outcome of these qualifiers before releasing the purse-stings. If he had any intetions of releasing them in the first place.....

Don't worry Cammy big DJ says we have not to panic signings will come!!!

Come to think of it does he not write that at every window.

If this is our top signings then it is time for Murray to go.

If he said at the beginning we have no money there will only be Bosman's then it might be acceptable but to live on promises is an insult to every Rangers supporter. This is not once but since the last window of Eck he has been promising the moon and we get a fkg candle.

i thought all the players were on there summer hols??? so how can it come straight from the dressing room ?? or has pre -season resumed ?

I think it was more of a statement meaning it came from inside rather out a conversation in the dressing room.

As for Bubas joke about Sproule - thats not on. He is on his way to Bristol City.

Couple of reports down south saying WS is interested in McFadden who the Toffees are willing to let go as they're targeting David Nugent.

Don't buy it, Smith was never his biggest fan and even prefered Kenny Miller to him while in charge of Scotland. Speaks volumes for me.

Still seems a strange 1, did Durrant phone the players up while they were away on holiday to tell them this?

None of the players have reported back to Murray park yet and it would be very Unprofessional of Durrant to discuss this with the players anyway.

McFadden would be a good signing for us. He would do a similar job to Neil McCann IMO.

But the latest reject we are being linked with today is Lee Hendrie.

Believe it was discussed before they went on holiday. Were told not to expect any major signings to join them in pre season training as the club has no money to spend on players. Don't see how it's unprofessional of Durrant. Am sure the players are just as concerned as us fans about the lack of reinforcements and as 1st team coach he's likely to have more contact with the players than McCoist or Smith.
