Decent second half. Two good goals. Poor one to concede, but cant argue with qualifying for the groups three years on the trot

Another superb Euro result. First half was scrappy but second period really was first class at times, typified by two excellent goals. Late consolation was frustrating but team reacted well and were comfortable as Gala went direct for last few mins.

 

Gerrard, his staff and the players really deserve a lot of praise for qualifying three years in a row.

Have we ever been behind in a qualifying tie under SG in the 11 rounds of qualies in 3 years? I can’t remember ever being behind.

Last year it took us 8 games. This year we managed it in only 3. Progress of a kind?
