I think only Jack is a true holding player.

 

The other two are #8s with good attacking qualities.

I'd be surprised if it was anything other than a diamond but it's certainly flexible enough  with that choice.

 

I would have preferred Lammers over Sima but his pace and strength could prove useful. Lammers also provides a good option to replace Cantwell later in the game.

Gerrard and Beale always went with pace in the forward areas in away European games too.

The system will be interesting as Gerrard/Beale often used more of a 4-3-3/4-5-1 but I don't see that with this choice of players.
