'Italian teams cannot cope with modern football’s intensity'
Fa1833 replied to Uilleam's topic in General Football Chat
Looks like the hand of God has gifted Napoli a life line with a 2-2 draw with Inter and Lazio. -
You may well be correct, but did they ask? Sack Clement and bring in a boy band reunion act! Anyway upwards and onwards, I don’t care if the new regime have no connection with the club, just want winners.

Rangers announce Barry Ferguson departure
Fa1833 replied to West London Bear's topic in Rangers Chat
My famous time when Barry was in charge was when he showed the c@nts who was Boss, though there was noise of what they thought they could do, it was our Barry who turned our city Blue, though green had gone on for so so long we gladly sung his favourite song, Oooooooo Barry Barry……. for he will always be our loyal son and will be considered as our very last one, even though he isn't our manager no more, we love you even now more, we wont let them forget when our Igamane hit the net and poor we Brendan hit the deck! Thanks for the memories on what it takes to play for our club Barry hopefully see you one day amongst us meer mortals 👊🔴⚪🔵 NS WATP -
Clement had to go but we were never bringing in anyone suitable, for the long term, at that stage. It was a stop gap, that's all, so there's no point dwelling on it.
-
I doubt they would have taken up a 2-month caretaker role.
-
Yes if the money was right, it was a win win for an experienced manager. But as usual our board made the wrong call, Rangers men I know, experts in various field but no idea how to run a football club.
-
Do you honestly think ANY of them would have looked at our basket team and came for the games left----I don't.

In the 11 SPFL premiership games BF was in charge Rangers conceded 19 goals. It is imperative we recruit at least two CB’s during the summer who are an upgrade on what we’ve currently got. -

So, farewell, then Barry Ferguson. You were called, and responded With head held high Looking down with sneerin', scornfu' view On that mhanky mhob Now you will be Club Ambassador No longer 'Gaffer' but 'His Excellency'. Sounds more important, Says Keith's maw. -
You’re correct none of them “thought”. There were a good few experienced managers available at the time. Ferguson and his mates were a bad joke.

Agree, have said before unconscious bias is a thing. -
I don't think any of them thought he was 'the answer', merely a body to tide us over until the end of the season.
-
The sacking of Clement and replacing him with Ferguson and his mates showed the complete incompetence of the board. Not one of them should be on the new board, at least the ones who thought Ferguson was the answer.

That’s a relief. Never a Rangers manager, as could be said of a few others in the last 13 years. -

Apparently, he spoke well (although half the time the players weren't listening). Must have missed those pressers. All I ever heard was endless clichés, telling everyone "I'll dae it" (manager) and that he was "probably Scottish"😂, whilst alerting Nigel Farage that he could also be a candidate for Govan. TBF to Barry, it was a next to impossible gig and our press team/CEO shouldn't have let him get tangled up by the press last week. -

Thanks Barry. I think we'd all have loved nothing more than for Barry to be the one, but it wasn't to be. He's carried himself impeccably well, and has spoken brilliantly in a very difficult period of our history. -
