The Gerrard rumours appear to be picking up speed again, in the usual places. Got to say, I'll be disappointed if we bring him back. He left us pretty sharpish last time, failed at Villa, had an uneventful spell in the back of beyond and I think we can do better. I like winning cups too.7 points

He ran our wage bill up sky high and didn't want to sell players when the time is right. I don't think he is a fit for where the club wants to go unless he changes.6 points

I'd suggest that whilst they can look at the comments Bomber made, it would then be incumbent on them to illustrate what was wrong in what he has said. There is nothing that the compliance officer can do without looking like another howling bead rattler.4 points

Ferguson was appointed as a 'staunch' barrier to take any flak until this board could get the the end of the season. It was never meant to be a serious appointment that would result in any real outcomes.4 points

Better numbers than the older and more expensive McCowan who They snapped up. Lyall Cameron is a common sense move.4 points

May I ask why the SFA gets involved into a comment made on a private TV channel for Rangers supporters? That is, nothing that the whole wide (Hooped) world would hear or listen too and thus can get upset about? Unless Finbar O'Fended, for reasons only known to him, signs up to?3 points

And I don't think we can be "financially sustainable" by selling the SPL top scorer for £500K.3 points

We need a number 9 who can play back to goal, win high balls, be the focal point of our play. Anyone who has watched us win anything will know that at the heart of our great teams, we always had this. Doesn't really matter much if that is in addition to Dessers, or a direct replacement. But it is needed.3 points

Clement had to go but we were never bringing in anyone suitable, for the long term, at that stage. It was a stop gap, that's all, so there's no point dwelling on it.3 points

I agree that Raskin has been head and shoulders above most in the team for the majority of this season, but I have been really impressed with how Connor Barron has improved under Barry Ferguson. It was always clear that he had a wee something about him, but seemed to always take the safe back pass option when in possession. I have noticed from that number 6 position against the Dundee vermin and Hivs he was definitely looking at more forward runs and passes. Long way to go I know, but he's got a wee bit of Stuart McCall about him. Ferguson may not have faired too well managerially but both Raskin and Barron have thrived under his mentorship.2 points

I will be very disappointed if Gerrard is our next manager because it is likely the new owners will be party to this decision and in my eyes it would put them in a poor light. This is purely a personal view.2 points

GersNet compliance officer would tell you this is the wrong thread and encourage no one to answer you tbh2 points

The language used in that article is ridiculous and the 'leaked message' it refers to was not from anyone at the club or Gerrard's side, so I think we can disregard that story/source.2 points

I was wondering if anyone on here has got any advice on these LED light Bars you see on trucks, I just saw the compliance thread and thought to stick it on here rather than making up a new thread 😂I've been given a few of these by my Brother who isn't a driver and was wondering what the rules on them are? I know they can't be flashing Red, white, and Blue but they can be used as non-flashing.2 points

How quiet various Compliance Officers have been since celtic started winning a stream of Championships and Cups almost unhindered. I wonder what has jolted him into wakefulness. The Shorter Oxford Dictionary suggests to me that he’s going to have to prove that by corruption, JB meant only the “perversion of integrity by bribery or favour” and not one of the other meanings of the word. Maybe there’s a hope that Rangers can be given a disrepute charge for employing a person saying nasty things about refs. A ten point deduction isn’t needed for this season but it might come in handy for the next one.2 points

Who in their right mind would want MrFarioli after he presided over a shambles in the Dutch league when his team only needed six points from five games in my book he’s a dud2 points

Are folk still going on about Shankland?2 points

We can if we are in the CL every year IMO. But yes, overall point is to sell players for more than we buy in general, agree.2 points

Maybe this is the powers that be playing 4D chess. Its all part of the genius masterplan of the board (which one, no idea) to condition us and the rest of the league to such poor performances at the end of the season that when we start next season, they just won't be able to handle how good we are. We've already won 56 chaps, lets go!2 points

Ferguson ends his spell with a -0.13 average xG Difference. Negative! I was concerned with Clement's low average of +1.10...2 points

In the 11 SPFL premiership games BF was in charge Rangers conceded 19 goals. It is imperative we recruit at least two CB’s during the summer who are an upgrade on what we’ve currently got.2 points

As far as I'm aware, we are allowed to start with eleven players if Dessers is unavailable. Igamane is a better finisher than Dessers and a good manager would have played him up front more often.1 point

I actually know Seamus Coleman and Ashley Young from my Fantasy Football League days ... 36 and 39 respectively.1 point

Craig Dawson, Wily Boly, Michael Keane or Ben Mee. One of the above would be good on a short term deal to play CB. If they are cheap enough. Generally I'd stay away from Bosmans unless young or from a much smaller market. They want a big sign on fee and big wages so can be a false economy.1 point

There is a very simple approach to matters like these with Dessers, Raskin, Igamane etc If you are a good competitive team, winning things, breaking even financially with a sustainable wage bill. Sell older guys on big wages if you can. With anyone else there is no real need to sell unless a player is desperate to leave. If you are rubbish, and have just had one of the worst seasons for years. Sell older guys on big wages as a matter of urgency. Sell guys running down contracts for as much as possible as a matter or urgency. Sell promising young players on low wages, with a good few years left for as much as you can get, then reinvest.1 point

I'd take Shankland on a free, and if Boyle was available for a modest fee I'd take him. An ideal impact sub.1 point

I think he will keep up that cadence when at us. I think he has the ability to open teams up and find spaces like Arfield did.1 point

It's a good job these two are not in a position to make the decision. No thanks. Former Ibrox hero Paul Gascoigne thinks Rangers could be the perfect fit for Jamie Vardy as the 38-year-old striker prepares to leave Leicester City. (CasinoBeats via Daily Record) Ally McCoist, who tried to bring Jamie Vardy to Ibrox in 2012, says: "I would take him in two minutes at Rangers, I really would" but reckons the veteran striker already has a move lined up. Keith Jackson in his opinion piece today, has Ferguson's back but is effectively making a c**t of himself and Barry. For me, Ferguson was interviewed by the club so as to massage his ego and was never going to get the current job. You at least have to hope so because if they were seriously considering him, it puts all this new owners/ modern footballing methods talk in doubt.1 point
