  1. Now is the perfect time to sell him. He will be 31 later this year and have 1 year of his contract left next summer. Getting our money back after 2 good years of Dessers is smart. We have to trust our recruitment process or there is no point in recruiting.

  2. Players are cattle. Some need to be sent to market so we can afford new ones and maintain the rest. You cant always grow your own as we well know. Fans need to realise the game has changed. Random Moroccans and Belgians have no affinity with the club or the support. Its a job with a stepping stone to a another, better paid job.

  3. We've screamed for a player trading model that works. That requires detaching any 'emotion' we may have to any / all players. If the model works, we recieve £xxM for 3 players, that's then used to buy 6 players and the cycle continues and the risk reduces. Each player has a price and if that price is Mey, we sell and move on. It's the only way can work.

  4. I'd be happy with Mulligan. He looks like a young, athletic player, able to play midfield and WB. He could be useful.

  5. You are left with modern football which is rubbish. Nobody should be forming emotional attachments to random mercenaries like Dessers, Igamane and Raskin.

  6. Selling Igamane, Raskin and Dessers for £40-50m would be terrific business.

  7. Surely getting emotionally attached to players is half of what football is all about? I accept it's illogical and childish but if you remove emotion from football what are you left with? I'm not disputing the validity of the business model, but it's ok not to want your best players sold, even if it's inevitable.

  9. Tell the Greeks to keep the money. I just want to see Dessers kissing the badge, and tripping over the ball, in a pre-season friendly.

  12. Only played right back once last season. We don’t play a traditional right mid. So I don’t really understand this one. Looking at his stats, he seems ok. Squad filler.

  14. £8M for Dessers - we have to sell at that price given his age. Making a profit on him is very good business. £15M for Igamane and £25M for Raskin seem to be on the "high" side But if we can rake in close to £45M for those three it's a huge positive and a sign that we have some great businessmen in control of the club at long last.

  15. I find emotional attachment to the club is sufficient for my stress levels.

  16. If we sell Dessers, Igamane and Raskin what are the chances we’ll get replacements of similar calibre? Summers 2022 and 23 saw many players leave. The signings were almost all inferior to those who’d left. We have previous…..

  17. That was when we were higher up in the food chain. We could cherry pick the best stuff. We are now surviving off scraps.

  18. It would be, but in the real world those are unrealistic numbers, IMO. A year ago, I remember the likes of Stevie Clifford talking about 7 or 8 million for Tav and Goldson 😂

  19. Remember the days when following a football club was all about the football. A couple of new players. Pre season games in the likes of Inverness and Stavanger. A weekend tournament at Ibrox. Now you need at least an accounts 'O level' to count and balance the millions that might come in or out. Sad

  23. Eriksen is a big no for me, we've been a retirement home to enough players that would be 'good enough for up here' thank you very much.

  24. Polis refused to sanction it. They said that the risk of violence between pro-Tav and anti-Tav factions was too high.
