  1. Rangers are 9/2 to win the game in 90 mins on Betfair and are 6/4 to qualify for the semi-final.
  2. Cheers Frankie, might need Christine's details again, but I can find them. OK, am going to offer a few RST annual memberships to Gersnetters again (not sure how many, depends on demand)- I will pay for the first year's annual fee - the only thing I ask is that when the membership comes up for renewal each person strongly considers retaining their membership. PM me if you would like me to assist. Last year after being chastised...... we found a workaround such that you didn't need to provide me with banking details - I simply paid a batch of memberships to the RST and they allocated them - I think the only details I needed were name, email address and physical address (physical address is needed for the RST to mail out your share certificate).
  3. Lifetime member here. Frankie, I may do what I did last year and pay for the first year's annual subs for a few folks on here - that ok ?
  4. Maybe, maybe not. Been discussed before on here though.
  5. Not really that surprising when it is the richest league in the world.
  6. Man U are definitely a better team than Liverpool - stronger starting 11 and a stronger squad. Chelsea not as clear cut. Jon, they havent proven it over a full season in the league in that same time and they are showing the same this year. I disagree that it is an unfair analysis - they are a CL team, not an EPL team - despite your rose tinted specs :fish: they show year after year under Benitez that they dont do it consistently enough to win the EPL. Torres is a fantastic talent, no doubt. I dont think even if he was playing every game that he would have the same effect as Ronaldo - 37 goals from midfield is incredible - but we will never know that as Benitez is far too stubborn to bow to public opinion and play the boy consistently (I wish he had as you, Gribz and I have him to be EPL top scorer.....). Wenger is his own worst enemy - he has funds available to spend yet refuses to do so. Look at my comments after the first leg - I said that any team that has to rely on Senderos will struggle and it was his losing his player at a corner that cost Arsenal a goal when they were the better team.
  7. Fair do's to be honest
  8. Liverpool-Man U ? Don't care to be honest, would be a better final as Man U chelsea - both teams are better than Liverpool ! Won't make a difference if Benitez plays his best 11, they still aren't a good enough 11 to top Man U over a season. I only saw the penalty incident twice to be fair and the 2nd time was a really poor angle. If I was being honest had that incident appeared at the other end I would be raging if a penalty wasn't given. I did see the penalty incident and Babel's goal - that boys turn of pace was incredible - was it Fabregas that launched the free kick in and Babel gave him what looked like a 20 yd headstart.
  9. Wasn't a penalty. Simple really Jon boy. The foul, if any, wasn't committed by Toure, it was committed by the other defender and it looked, to me at least, to be outside the box. Good result for Liverpool over the piece obviously - didnt really see too much as I was at work. I presume Pool were the better team 2nd half ? Arsenal are very close to being a great team but Wenger's stubbornness to not properly enter the transfer market is hurting them big time. I will console myself in the knowledge that Liverpool will win as much as Arsenal this season - fuck all !

    Predictions

I feel the same way Gribz. Don't want to be pessimistic but I can see us losing 2-0 - down by one and losing a late one whilst chasing the equaliser. Hope I am wrong.... I was right (unfortunately) about the Lyon game at home - but would prefer to be wrong, obviously
  11. Is that an Intertoto Cup game or something ? :fish:
  12. Gooners, Gooners, Gooners !!!
  13. It was awesome awesome awesome !! They do play some great stuff - very easy on the eye watching Arsenal - but then the same can be said of Man U and Liverpool (depending on which Liverpool shows up).
  14. I remember it very well indeed - Michael Thomas in injury time to make it 2-0 and Arsenal needed a 2 goal win to win the league. Awesome !
  15. Havent seen the Hyppia goal but Reina made a howler for Arsenal's goal - to lose a goal at the near post is poor. Game on ! I was very confident Arsenal would score at Anfield - I guess we have a game of it now !
  16. Liverpool are the wanks Jon boy - you hate Arsenal more than you like Liverpool. Sad day indeed. Tis ok, Arsenal will score again and it will be game over :fish: Arsenal easily the better team.
  17. Get it right fuckin up ye Jon boy !!
  18. Chelski up 1-0 already.
  19. I would think that we wil see a change in the way we play next season - right now it is about grinding results out, meaning winning ugly is preferred to not winning whilst looking pretty. WS MUST know that the team lacks flair and creativity. He had to rebuild an entire squad last summer and he did that whilst still balancing the books (almost). He has been told that this summer he will have at least 10 mill to spend and the big difference in my opinion is that this summer's spending should require less players, meaning more available to spend per player.
  20. We got beat at home to Hibs in the SPL. But we should still have enough in the locker to get the 15 points needed.
  21. Pete, it should be settled before even the Utd game. I am hoping we win it at Easter Road as my birthday is the day after - good way to celebrate the b'day
  22. I don't think that clean sheets and letting in a set number of goals has to equate to performance levels though. Celtic have one more clean sheet than us yet have also played one game more. I think that McGregor has had far more impressive performances than Boruc and has made far fewer big mistakes. Weir & McManus not as clear cut I don't think - but Weir seems to add more than just his own performance to the solidity of the team whereas McManus has looked pretty vulnerable, more often than Weir IMO. McGeady and McDonald aside, what justification would the PFA have in selecting Barry Robson ? There is NO WAY he has been more impressive than Alan Hutton or Davie Weir - to suggest otherwise would be foolish IMO.
  23. My first thought was a bout Robson too - hasnt kicked a ball in earnest for them since January - which is no different to Hutton. Hutton did far more than Robson from July-December and just as much since January (i.e. neither has kicked a ball in the SPL - Robson has been poor since Jan) - so why no Hutton ? And if Robson is included then you would have to include McGregor and Weir - they have both contributed better performances than Robson over a longer period. Absolute f'ing joke !
  24. Watford bust me yesterday - fookers ! EDIT : SHould have checked my coupon before now, didnt realise Watford scored late on ! 85 quid back for a tenner - not great but any win is a win !
  25. Not getting at you man, just making sure wee Fraser didn't get a detention of his own !
