  1. HM Revenue & Customs ‏@HMRCgovuk Liquidation allows potential investigation and claims against those responsible for company's recent finances #Rangers HM Revenue & Customs ‏@HMRCgovuk CVA would restrict action against those responsible for company's recent finances #Rangers
  2. Looks like a CVA was never going to be an option, no matter what D&P, Green or TBK did.
  3. They still have not satisfactorily explained why they broke the assurance that the funds raised would not get used to pay off existing creditors.
  4. As far as I was concerned, the RFFF were elected to be in charge of the funds raised for the Fighting Fund and that is it. How can they have a mandate to do anything else? There may be a conflict of interest in respect of their main responsibilities. Surely it would fall under the Assembly's jurisdiction to do this? Are the Assembly abdicating some of their responsibility?
  5. Frankie's avatar? :shiver:
  6. And if he isn't the real deal, will you still have the brass neck to "support" Rangers? I've got no idea whether he's the real deal or not, and I presume that 99.9% of the support are the same. I really hope he is but you can't blame anyone who raises valid questions given what we have experienced with Murray and Whyte. It's got nothing to do with being pro or anti TBK. The support need to question anyone who is going to be in charge of our club and to dismiss valid questions with a pre-conceived idea that anyone who does so must be pro another buyer is sticking your head in the sand.
  7. In what way have I been generally been critical of Green? Are you really trying to pigeon-hole anyone who is critical of Green on any one point? It's a bit sad that you have to resort to implications of people not being truthful just because of your inability to argue the points in question.
  8. And how any players will we need to sell so that he can pay cash back into the club?
  9. I don't see that he can claim from the company....and of he does then is he a "true Rangers fan"? He was a director of the company and if he had issues with the way his cash was spent in 2001 then he should have raised it then. Basically his cash was used to build Murray Park. It's difficult to turn round 11 years later and make claims with any credibility. If there was any side agreements then surely he would take that up with Murray.
  10. My minister supports the dark side.
  11. Much better idea!
  12. One's our Head of State and the other isn't. Hardly the same. However if you think it should be moved then why not put in a request to an admin/mod instead of moaning about it?
  13. There's an argument to say that all that is a good reason for leaving it as MP as a reminder to us of these dark times and to make sure that we never allow it to happen again.
  14. I have 2 main issues with it, both relating to timing: 1. There is a huge list of issues that Green should be commenting on and clarifying. The renaming of Murray Park comes near the very bottom of the list. It seems to be being done to distract us from asking more pertinent questions about the funding of the club going forward. Is that really the thing that Green (or TBKs) should be commenting on or discussing at this point? 2. Emotions are still raw. A more reasoned discussion could take place a couple of years down the line. Green does not know the pros and cons of the argument and appears to be doing it just to get some of the support on-side. If it is to be renamed than I'd like a lot more thought put into it than a couple of names rattled off by a small group of fans in a one-off meeting. I'm not saying it's a bad idea as such and think it is worthy of discussion, but just not right now.
  15. I guess I can only speak for myself on this, but I'd certainly have criticised it.
  16. It's the timing of it that's suspicious. If he said it a few months down the line when he had time to assess things then fair enough. At the meeting he had with supporters a couple of weeks ago, he emphasised that there was no point in looking back and apportioning blame. The club needed to ignore what had happened and concentrate on moving forward. It seems that he's changed his tune very quickly. If TBK had issued a similar statement at this point in the process they would be similarly criticised. The criticism is justified and does not mean that those doing so have agendas. The fans need to hear a lot from him, but for him to issue a statement about one of the things near the bottom of the list is showing that he does not have his priorities correct at this point.
  17. What's pointless and pathetic about it? It seems a good post to me. If you're going to attack someone like that, you should justify you reasoning or else the post ends up being faced with the same accusation. As for waffling, I doubt there's not a poster on here that couldn't be accused of that at one point or another.
  18. Did Green confirm the funding for the CVA was in place? Surely that would have been the obvious thing to comment on. We all know that getting through the CVA is important. We don't need the RFFF to tell us that and to tell us how we will feel about it.
  19. The statement says nothing. The RFFF would be better off not saying anything than coming out with a jumble of words that does not clarify anything. Very disappointing.
  20. Thanks, aweeblue. Your comments are reassuring.
  21. So why are they setting themselves up in opposition to RST, aiming to do exactly what the RST are doing? Surely that shows a prejudice against the RST? Why do they think it can't be done through RST? A lot of the anti-RST feeling runs through the forums and it stretches the credibility a bit to say that they know nothing of it through the forums. As I said before, they seem to be reinventing the wheel. There are a number of people in the support who have done all that before and could have helped them. It's a big assumption that the press are going to pay the slightest bit of attention to them. For example, have the press ever made any comment about the current RST chairman? The press will likely pay no attention to them. Although perhaps it's not the press that they are really worried about....
  22. Big thread on them on FF yesterday, which got deleted. There seems to have been a meeting with some FF members and some people from RU. My major gripe is that they are asking for fan's names and email addresses but refuse to give any details about who is involved in it from their side. They seem to claim to the people involved have no prior involvement with any fan's sites or fans organisations. Seems strange. They have suddenly become active but have done nothing themselves over the past 10 years? Why not? They also seem to be reinventing the wheel to an extent. A lot of what they are doing has already been done by the RST.
  23. Yes. Do you have figures to back up your claim?
  24. A lot of people want TBKs but find it frustrating that the fact that they are and their supporters are turning round and blaming everyone else for their own shortcomings. The bottom line is TBKs have had plenty of opportuities and plenty of time to put together a decent bid and failed. While there may be some blame to share around, it's mainly their own fault.
  25. It seems that it was mainly to provide funding It seems that TBKs were putting up nothing under the deal with Ticketus. Was that when TBK the turned round and changed/withdrew their bid? Do you have proof that TBK were offered PB 3 times? t TBK gave in a "best and final" bid and then changed it at least 4 times.
