You punish the offenders. Somewhere there's a video footage of a Rangers player being attacked. It's a law and order matter. Should we have punished for Manchester? Some of those there were nothing to do with us.
-
That short Rangers bench said it all. Mr King take note...
-
So you think clubs should be responsible for the conduct of their fans no matter what? Security at Hampden was up to the SFA not the Hibz club. If it was the other way round and it was our fans would you really want RFC to be punished?
-
But it was the Hibs supporters to blame. Can we really blame the club however much we dislike Petrie? See my earlier post re Barcelona 72. You wouldn't want us to be blamed for the actions of some of our fans would you?
-
-
Watch we don't have double standards here. In 1972 we were banned from Europe for 2 years after our fans were battered by Franco's fascist police and retaliated. There was nothing we could do over who chose to follow us. You might as well blame the club for the weather. As I said, there is enough evidence for action to be taken against rioting Hibs fans - the real culprits.
-
Agree punishment is needed. But clubs should not be punished for actions of their supporters. There is surely enough camera and video evidence to prosecute scores of Hibee individuals.

I'm worried about him now. He's not the player he was at the start of the season. Think Windass will edge him out next season. Windass, Rossiter and Halliday?
-
If his goal had been the winner I could have forgiven Halliday for anything. Just before it we were starting to dominate possession, aided in no small measure by Zelalem. More fans should start to see his qualities - he never gave the ball away once and was not brushed off it often. Once again though it's our central defence; this time I thought Wilson was blameless. I wonder if MW made a big mistake in letting last year's player of year McGregor go - he and Wilson might have been a better pairing.

this is what we get for our so-called 'loyalism'? From the Conservative and Unionist Party! I was brought up to think we were the establishment club, the Real Madrid of Scotland. Maybe we should fly the Scotland flag; Keltic fly the Tricolour. We are a Scottish club. We seem to get no thanks from the English for all our 'British' boasts.

I switched over to watch the FA Cup final and missed that. Right at the final whistle all I saw were green fans on the pitch - no fighting. Sure it wasn't blown up out of proportion?
-
I was actually enjoying the BBC coverage (on the Red button with De Boer in the studio) until right at the end. That bloody Liam McLeod said, and I'm sure I didn't mis-hear - "The Rangers fans are rioting on the pitch." All I could see was a mass of green and white fans celebrating. Should be a formal complaint to Auntie because of that.

Thought I'd beat Ian1964 to this bit of breaking news: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/36338244

'Pitch geography' 'defensive eye' - I'm really getting educated on here. Maybe we should refer to goalkeepers having a sense of geometry! In that regard, Foderingham is a little lacking.
-
Thanks but just got freeview. If we don't get this on Red button when there is no comparable attraction on at the same time you will hear my imprecations against the BBC and the UK government!!

Well, pretty much like some people go to reserve matches because they can't afford/don't want to attend away games. If, say the A team were playing in Bournemouth many might go to Ibrox to see the B game. Haven't really thought it through, but I would not like the Scottish League to die all the same...
-
The money gap is now so huge that there is really no future in Scottish League now. We must find a way of allowing a 'B' team to play in Scotland; that would be a kind of sweetener to those who need our income. Problem is EUFa with their 'cross border' opposition would be the big obstacle.
-
Any bears on here who live in England and (like me) don't have Sky? Can I watch it on the BBC 1 red button? Apparently you can't get it live on the iPlayer.

Rangers Refuse To Wear New Strip In Scottish Cup Final?
alexscottislegend replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
Why? Let them get the best manager they can. I want them to give us a stiff challenge to prepare us for the otgher games we will get in Europe. A weak Keltic - or anyone else - does nothing to steel us for tougher times ahead. I'm comfident we will prevail in any event. -

Agree but recently at Norwich he's been playing as one of the 2 in a 4.2.3.1 -

I like Dorrans but it begs the question: where would he fit in? We play a 4.3.3. system and he generally plays as one of 2 holding mids. Can't see MW changing his system for the players. Barton and Dorrans together would be fantastic but don't think he could play on his own like Ball, he has attacking instincts. -
That goalie was fantastic in the League Cup final.

They will be so demoralised after failing to win promotion. I think we will win more easily than is being suggested.

My point was really that, having made 5 first team appearances for Liverpool, he would expect to make a lot more starts in the SPL. Agree about Barton though.
