  1. Indeed. Plenty of relief and scorn though from the usual PQ protagonists as soon as the final whistle went. Tom English in particular who penned an article after Celtic's CL exit damming their dire performance had to do a quick 180 degree. From a team whose second XI could beat ra Sellick the week before, Rangers now become a side that lacks bottle and belief, that can't perform in "the heat of a full house". Chief Sportswriter's at PQ need more than one face. He never fails to let you down.
  2. Balagon, Kamara & Roofe were included in the list for the qualifiers because if you excluded them but then list them (if we qualify)in the Group Stages squad, they must serve their suspensions then. The other omitted fringe players you mention in earlier post is due to the UEFA home grown rule.
  3. Rangers 3 Livingston 0 FGS: Fashion Jnr.
  4. No expert on this but is the B list not all the players who have been developed by the club since youth? Can Patterson not be drawn from that list?
  5. Then again maybe not......?
  6. TSB, what an absolute sound piece of advice. I wish you had posted that yesterday before I blew 30 quid! ? Hard to take any positives from that. Stared at the buffering circle for a large part of 1st half, no commentary (thought Tom had tested Covid positive). I can't therefore say much about 1st half. The second? Well......Kelly, Mayo and Bassey were decent and the commentary returned but as the half wore on they were clearly using the old diversionary tactic of talking about past players to deflect from the dross on the field! As everyone says, early days. Having listened to the managers post match comments I already fear for JJ and Whitty (lol?)
  7. Wow! That gives me a very welcome 7 point gap from the relegation place!?
  8. Italy 1 Spain 1 England 2 Denmark 2
  9. Looks hard, plays hard. A few red cards in his past. I'm sure our Compliance Officer will love him. Bring it on. A great signing. We really need a hard man in that midfield and he fits the bill!
  10. Switzerland 2 - 2 Spain Belgium 1 - 1 Italy Czech Rep. 0 - 2 Denmark Ukraine 0 - 3 England
  11. Maybe some of the older Gersnetters can help me out here. My memory of back then is there was no change (away) strip. If you look at that photo from 71/72 the striped strip was used for the Reserve team matches. It was almost like you had to earn a first team strip hence the difference. I cannot remember playing 1st team matches in that strip. If there was a colour clash it was usually a red top. The whole principle of away tops began to appear a decade later. My own opinion on adopting it now is "Why the hell would you want to look like Kilmarnock? ?
  12. Wales 0 - 2 Denmark Italy 3 - 1 Austria Netherlands 3 - 1 Czech Republic Belgium 2 - 0 Portugal Croatia 2 - 2 Spain France 4 - 1 Switzerland England 0 - 2 Germany Sweden 3 - 2 Ukraine
  13. @Rousseau Can I just confirm that we are predicting the 90 mins scores now we are at knock out? ET & pens discounted?
  14. For clarification. Is the gap after 2 Jan OF game a winter shut down?
  15. Yes. It has to be Dundee. For the statistical benefit alone. From a league with 3 from 12 artificial surfaces down to 1 in 12 is huge statistically, when you can conceivably play on them 4 times a season including cup competitions. Not only are the prospect of long term injuries reduced but the quality of football improves as well. Also nullifies the advantage these horrendous surfaces have to "home" side.
  16. I'll second that! Good luck for the future!
  17. For me, it really is a close call between Goldson and Tavenier, although you could argue for many of the others as well. In the end, Goldson gets my vote. To have played every minute of every game, his crucial goals at Parkhead set the tone early on, he slipped in to the captain role seamlessly in Tavs absence. Another small issue sealed it for me. Amongst the celebratory interviews on Saturday, the one with Goldson where Aribo & Kamera "hijacked" it to show there appreciation of the big man, calling him their big brother, was really touching. Well done big man!
  18. Many thanks to @Rousseau for this. My 1st season as a Gersnetter and have thoroughly enjoyed the GPL. Just edged out of a top 10 finish yesterday. Pleased I completed all 57 entries! Great bit of fun. Greatly appreciate your efforts!
