  1. . 0 PC. 3 Sent us out well up for it but made bad decisions as game went on, and failure to lambast Beaton in post-match was cowardly. We only played good football for about 15 mins, then got carried away with the refs cheating and never focused on our own game. This is reflected in my scores.
  2. That is now 5 defeats in our last 10 competitive games including 2 OF humiliations, Luxembourg, and home defeats to Dolly and Hibs, both much hated rivals. Redeemed? Eh, no.
  3. That is my point about Pena, he is PC's big money signing and either can't get fit or can't get into this team, either way doesn't look good. Cardoso looked about as solid as Kiernan. Candieas is a level below McKay. Yes it's very early and some players can struggle to adapt and settle so hopefully these players maybe just had another bad day and we will see a lot better from them in future. I can have absolutely nothing but huge doubts about his managerial nous when he continues to select guys like Windass and Miller who continue to be honking and should not be anywhere near our starting line up. How Miller stayed on the park, getting moved about into 3 or 4 different positions when he was shit in all of them, was glaring. Add in another sitter at 1-0 that could have killed the game before the madness started.
  4. Windass and Miller should never be anywhere near our starting 11, Nico on bench when he is by far our best player was a huge shock.
  5. First game I've seen since Luxembourg and still am bemused by PC selection, tactics, and subs. I remain convinced he won't see his first anniversary. The more I see of his signings, Cardoso, Candieas, Pena, etc the more I think we have just replaced diddies with eh diddies. Add to that he continues to have faith in last years failures - Wes, Tav, Hodson, Windass, MILLER, I see some progress but I believe we are in the wrong hands. I was still roaring us on into injury time today when more than half the crowd has long gone and I will continue to do so but I really fear for us under PC.
  6. Just back from a couple of weeks away on holiday cruising the Adriatic so only managed to catch about 45 mins of our last 2games plus the main highlights packages and first hand accounts from some who were there. I can't be alone in being really anxious about today. We still look really weak at defending in wide areas, although we are far more solid centrally. Good teams will expose this and PC really needs to make sure our full backs get the help and cover they need. Hibs are flying, will be hugely up for it with their manager hogging the spotlight as usual, and are strongest in forward areas which is not a good match up for us usually. If we continue to miss good chances, or have players that don't get into scoring positions, we will not win tight games on a regular basis. I would like to see Morelos and Herrera together up front, with Miller benched. These are the 2 he bought to score goals, and Miller has failed to score consistently in all of the three seasons he has played in this third spell. While Herrera has not scored yet, he seems to be number one choice, and Morelos got a brace on Wednesday so his confidence will be high and his fitness getting better so let's get them paired and see if we can be more of a threat than what we have been used to. We certainly have improved in our set pieces, with Alves and Candieas both scoring crackers so far as well as Nico, and our attacking aerial threat seems to be much greater now as well. I think this is going to be tight today, with the first goal very important, and I hope, like all of us, that right from kick off we show the right attitude, fight and passion, and then let our football win the game thereafter.
  7. Won't vote as didn't see whole game but from the reports I got from those at the game, Miller was anonymous apart from ballooning over the bar when he should have scored and Herrera done ok without ever looking troublesome. Windass was easily best player for 55 mins before fading and Dorrans was solid and obv scored both goals in top of that. I was expecting to read ratings reflecting that but it is always amazing how we can see the game differently.
  8. Confirmed now on club website, Waghorn gone to Ipswich. Good luck to him, wish it was Miller instead but hey-ho!
  9. I still can't get my head around Walker being valued higher than McKay. I genuinely hope we miss out on him if we have to pay anything close to£1M. He is young so wait a year and grab for free, or sign him in Jan then negotiate for £200k for early release depending on league position
  10. Third tier of English football is about right for Rob, was never cut out for this level. MW stubborn refusal to admit that was one of the significant factors in his demise.
  11. It looked to me that he never really believed he belonged at such a big club. It happens with some players, they just can't get the confidence to play their best stuff under the intense scrutiny of the goldfish bowl. He will probably go on to have a good season at Saints, and he obviously won't play against us, so it could be a good move for us. Glad to get him at least partially off the payroll, and replaced in the squad with another player who will have a bigger impact for us.
  12. I have enjoyed every article to date from that blogsite but this one is just a bit silly. Trying to claim credit for Pedro for the 3 enforced subs at half time, and claiming the Pittordrie victory as a tactical masterclass are both stretching reality a bit far, but blaming the mhedia for the bad press following the shambolic managerial performances at the OF double header AND the diabolical Progres embarrassment is just stupid when every Bear you spoke to both at and immediately after these games had far harsher words to say than anything written in the Rhebel or BBC. This is simply a puff piece to try to get Bears back on the Pedro train and must think we are all moon-howlers if we are going to buy that at this stage of proceedings. The only way for Pedro to start to win back the fans is to win his first few league games. If we win the first OF game and go top, pretty much all will be good for him. Comfortably in second place within touching distance going into the first OF game is the minimum requirement given the first few weeks of the fixture list. We can discuss if Pedro is a genius or just a nice guy way out his depth at that point in time.
  13. I know absolutely nothing about photoshop or anything like that, but you really need to try harder to convince anybody that is a real photo! Good effort but back to the drawing board!
  14. I thought the same, I wasnt that impressed with OM from the hour I seen, but thought that was down to a lack of sharpness due to being earlier in prep work than us. If that was them finishing off pre-season preparations, I wouldnt fancy them to win much this year.
  15. How any professional footballer can go bankrupt is a total disgrace given the amount of money they have earned. Clubs, agents, the PFA, etc should be ensuring their clients/employees are getting good investment advice. In my opinion, any player under 25 should only be given an allowance with the rest being put into trust for when they are old/wise enough to deal with it. If this is a genuine bankruptcy then I feel sorry for him in one way, ashamed of him in another as a former captain, and annoyed that he has manged to blow a massive amount of cash in a short space of time. Of course, like a lot of bankruptcy's, it could just be a greedy move to avoid paying someone.
  16. New guy comes on, and in first post links to his blog in the middle of the night, which the title claims Rangers are disappointing him. I'm sorry, but what in the world would make me click that link? Nothing. Message to Riverbear7, if you are indeed a Bear, is perhaps join in with the forum and add your thoughts to the many threads on here first before trying to push your blog on us. Then if we think you are worthy of reading, we might even click the link and give you a hit. Until then, no thanks.
  17. Clearly this guys boss has forced him into a grovelling apology. That is nowhere near good enough from Trinity Mirror however, as all these bigots remain in place and balanced reporting remains an impossibility from their journos. Editorial and reporter personnel change is the only way this is going to change moving forward. Perhaps our club or C1872 can try to get a meeting with Trinity Mirror's top people to explain just why their Scottish paper is so off-limits to Rangers supporters. There is no point continually having discussions with Scottish based people, as they are the problem, not part of the solution.
  18. I didnt know that - Tom Miller was waxing lyrical in his own unique style about us holding a good French team unlike last week when another good french team came to Glasgow and I hadnt a clue what he was on about!
  19. While I dont get too upset with pre-season defeats, I dont get too excited with what on paper looks an excellant draw against the French side. OM looked well short of fitness and sharpness but we looked much sharper than we have done previously, and that is exactly what I want to see from pre-season - every game sees an improvement in sharpness and fitness. We still look toothless up front, wasteful in wide positions, and seriously dodgy without Alves in defence (any chance he plays 40+ games this season at 35?) but the result and wasted chances dont go into the record books, the real stuff is still 2 weeks away and we will have one more "live" game at Sheffield next week and probably another couple of closed door bounce games to allow us to work on the many areas we need to work on before we go to Fir Park. As in both Progres games but especially the home tie, when play goes through Nico we look good, when it doesnt we look , well, not so good. A much improved performance from Candeias today, quiet games from Jack and Dorrans, Miller as frustratingly wasteful in possession as always and both strikers that played didnt have much to work with although both looked busier, Morelos should have buried the rebound from his rocket shot. It looked like we got a good workout, nobody got injured, and we might even have got a wee confidence booster from holding a better side than us to a draw. Onwards and upwards bears!
  20. FT 1-1 A great goal from Nico earns a draw
  21. Holt & Dalcio on for Dorrans and Candeias with 6 mins left
  22. Pena on now for Niko Windass on for Miller
  23. Niiiiikkkkkkkooooooooo!!!!!!!!! Beauty of a free-kick from 20 yards into top corner. 1-1
  24. Crosses have been brutal from a variety of players today. Miller, Candeias, Tav, Wallace, have all given dreadful deliveries. All part of pre-season I hope.
  25. As predicted, Wilson comes on and our defence suddenly is nowhere to be seen. 1-0 Marseilles as Wilson's man has too much space to apply a simple finish.
