The race to the bottom between Pedro and Ally is not one any Bear wants to discuss! I fail to see what a degree in sports science has to do with being manager of Rangers. I know a lot of really thick people with degrees and a lot of clever people without a higher. If we win today it doesn't change a thing long term, but it would be absolutely fantastic. If Pedro comes up with some tactical master stroke to change and win the game then I will give him a lot of credit but we all know he can't do that.

These injuries make parking the bus a much more attractive option, strength in numbers and all that. We will still get some chances on the break and at set pieces, we just need everything to fall our way, which we are certainly due to happen for us for a change.

League Cup Semi-Final Draw - Rangers v Motherwell
Tannochsidebear replied to Scott7's topic in Rangers Chat
What? That is disgusting if that is happening and should be stopped immediately. It reminds me of the time around '89 where we were at Tannadice where a win secured the title and some English accented guys had some tickets which were like gold dust and were trying to sell them at about 4 times face value. Some very large bear took exception to this and went up, smacked him in the mouth, and handed out the tickets to the Bears surrounding him for free. Never seen touts again at a Rangers game! -
Why is it every time I see a thread title like this I sigh and hope it's not going to be too embarrassing? I just hope they drop that dreadful song for the tanned Rob Kiernan, cringeworthy, as is the Windass song, and was the Halliday song. It seems Ub only come up with new stupid songs for our worst players. Give me Every Other Saturday, Follow Follow, Blue Sea of Ibrox, Wolverhampton Town, The Sash (unedited), on repeat for 90 mins and let us all join in.

It must be a reward for giving UEFA all that money in fines over the last couple of years. Seriously, our fans groups, or just even individual fans with time and a suitable skill set, should be sending a dossier to whoever is responsible for this outlining their despicable behaviour in recent years, and the clear backing of terrorist organisations worldwide, and force an embarrassing climb down.

Been busy with other things mate! I must do better!

Respect is earned, not inherited by means of your pal getting you a job. Rangers 1 Celtic 5, Progres 2 Rangers 0. I am happy to stand by my post, the worst manager in our history that has overseen the worst results in our history. If the language is too colourful for some of my fellow bears, then change the adjective, but the end result will be the same. None of this gives me any pleasure, of course I want every Rangers manager to succeed, and the team gets my full support every single match, but I'm allowed my point of view on here surely? The vast majority of Bears I speak to at the games and elsewhere agree he was a terrible appointment made for all the wrong reasons by the wrong people.

League Cup Semi-Final Draw - Rangers v Motherwell
Tannochsidebear replied to Scott7's topic in Rangers Chat
I may take Motherwell to beat Hibs if they were playing each other, but we know fine well that a Hibs performance against us is not the same as a Hibs performance against Motherwell. Therefore I am much happier playing Motherwell than Hibs. The recent ibrox game being a good case in point. Hibs havent won a league game since in 4 attempts. -
Compliance Officer to Charge Sinclair? Probably Not
Tannochsidebear replied to StuGers's topic in Rangers Chat
I did such a list back in 2009 or 2010. Within two months of the season there was about a 10 point swing to them on referee decisions that directly affected results, plus many others that didnt directly affect the outcome but went their way, like red cards for their opponents that were later rescinded or shown to be wrong, offside goals going their way etc. We still won the league that year! -
I knew you would come round! When Miller had pace (ie his second spell with us) I would happily support him being given the lone striker role as he had the pace to annoy the defenders and exploit them on the counter attack. His pace has long gone and that was always his biggest strength.

He has the right to be a bit arrogant having won the treble last year, undefeated domestically since he arrived, took over from a complete idiot, his only rival have appointed an equally ridiculous idiot for a manager. It doesnt get any easier than that. However arrogance has a nasty habit of becoming complacency, and complacency has a nasty habit of getting its comeuppance, hopefully tomorrow followed by another humping in Belgium next midweek.

League Cup Semi-Final Draw - Rangers v Motherwell
Tannochsidebear replied to Scott7's topic in Rangers Chat
Couldnt have asked for a better draw. Motherwell, while a decent side, are clearly the weakest of the remaining clubs, and also the nicest fans so instead of a hate-filled, tense semi final, we have a proper football match and leave all the sectarian stuff to the other semi, where are least one set of disgusting, hate-driven, sectarian, scumbags will be eliminated. This will also mean our scheduled home game against Dolly will be moved to a midweek slot instead of a Saturday lunchtime game. Shame that for the 800 or so travelling fans! -
If McCrorie is being lined up to play, it shows how far down the pecking order (rightfully in my opinion) Danny Wilson has fallen. Must be time to offload in January. Unless I have missed something and Wilson is injured?

Compliance Officer to Charge Sinclair? Probably Not
Tannochsidebear replied to StuGers's topic in Rangers Chat
I take it, 2 days on from that game, that media silence has meant that the celtic compliance officer has not bothered to open a case against him. Had it been Morelos on Tuesday night, he would have already been hung, drawn and quartered and have the weekend off. The sham that is this current compliance procedure and protection of all things timmy in the media is downright corrupt. -
Why would Miller's "experience" be a help tomorrow? As far as I am concerned, as many players who played in the last OF game that are NOT playing tomorrow, the better. That type of experience is not one I want to see repeated. Another thing, some saying play Miller in midfield. Does nobody remember the last OF game where he chased Brown about the park like a lost schoolboy? Or the Hogmanay game where he missed a sitter in the last minute that would have gave us a draw? The one thing that is absolutely without doubt and beyond debate is that Miller playing tomorrow weakens our team, and with our best (and only) real defender out, and our Captain missing we certainly dont need a passenger of this sub-standard anywhere near the game. If we are short of midfield players, play Barjonas. If we are short up front, (which thankfully we are not) play Hardie. Under no circumstances play Miller. There is no recent evidence anywhere that he can make a positive contribution to an OF game. Have a look back at last season's games if you have blocked out just how bad he played in the OF games last season. Constantly playing Miller in big games was a mistake that the last two permanent managers continually made and it cost them their jobs. Miller rant over! Well at least until 11.00 tomorrow and I see the official team line-up!

Loving Holt's energy in midfield. Don't know who we would come in for, but I would love him to be working his ass off on Saturday. Good player. -

Good control of the ball now and slowing the tempo, exactly what we should have been doing in last 10 mins of normal time. -

Given that I forgot to put a score in, I am hoping the 90 min result is what the points are awarded for? -

Good finish from a good lay-off by Herrera. Will we now revert to the defensive nonsense we seen for the last 15 mins of normal time or push on and make the game safe? just as I am about to hit send I get my answer- Herrerrrrraaaaaa!!!!!!!!!! 3-1 -

Well that had been coming for the last 10 mins or so. We have just made a 4th sub (new rule in ET apparently ) with our only real goal threat going off. Nice one Pedro! Come on Gers, just get through this somehow! -
Are we justified in parking the bus on Saturday
Tannochsidebear replied to union's topic in Rangers Chat
To answer the question, not only are we justified in parking the bus, it is the only tactic that makes sense and if we dont see this style and get beaten, Pedro will have some serious tactical questions to answer. I want to see a very tight 4 across the 18 yard box, with the midfield 5 sitting just in front of them, and Morelos forcing the defenders to pass quickly. If we do this, we may just be able to get a positive result by taking our chances from set pieces or counter-attacks. I dont want to see any passengers or luxury players on Saturday, so no Miller or Windass for me. Get the grafters in there, and get them all to work their bloody socks off closing down and denying the bheasts any space inside our last third. They are not that good or creative when denied space, and a well drilled defence and controlled midfield should be able to be comfortably keep them out. It may then come down to individual mistakes or refereeing, which is out of the managers hands. -

Tannochsidebear replied to pete's topic in Rangers Chat
Good analysis Gaffer, and while I havent seen as much of Pena as you, it looks to me there is some sort of player in there if we can find the right style and teammates to bring it out. I am assuming you want to see Pena as the middle of the 3 in your 4-2-3-1? -
SFA say Windass has no case to answer . We just can't catch a break!

[FT] Partick Thistle 2 - 2 Rangers (Morelos 19; Dorrans 77)
Tannochsidebear replied to pete's topic in Rangers Chat
A couple of further points on Friday; Why didnt Nico start? When you consider we have a potential 2 hour cup tie on Tuesday before the OF game, you would think Nico would play the league game, sit out the cup tie, and be ready for the bheasts. Now that Windass failed (again) and Nico will come back in on Tuesday, that is not the best planning for the game that his job may be resting on. Surely now Herrera & Pena must start the game on Tuesday. They are the two big money signings of the last window and we are now well into the season and they aren't ready? Pena looks to me as if there is some talent there, but he is going to need game time to get to know his teammates. It looks like he wants to link up with quick 1-2's and short passes, and if you dont know where your teammates are going to be then everything breaks down. Also his teammates need to support these runs and not stand watching as I have witnessed them do. Herrera is a different type of striker, but Morelos needs a partner and Miller is not it, so it figures that Herrera must be given a chance to build a partnership with Morelos. Windass & Miller have had plenty of chances and have failed. time to ditch them both and try other options. Anything less is pure stubbornness and bad management, and I thought we had seen enough of that with our last 2 managers.
