  1. it will probably be adam walter picks to replace thomson, though only god knows what our manager sees in him.
  2. You want the SFA to admit that the rule is a complete and utter farce? skin another reefer mate.
  3. sorry but there is no way he should be in that squad given his fitness.
  4. i just found out that my great grandfather died at ypres and is buried in an unmarked grave in belgium. He served with the cameron highlanders. Just watched a WW1 program about ypres too. Makes me want to go over just to see his name on the wall of rememberance. fucking unbelievable what the had to and were expected to do in that catastrophy of a war. Knowingly sent to the slaughter by their own leaders. i consider guys like kitchener and Haig war criminals for the way they sent their own men to their deaths. A damned bloody disgrace.
  5. no not a few, quite a lot actually. while im here, i hear there were servicemen at celtic park on saturday and they werent allowed to wear their uniforms. unbelieveable.
  6. no they pandered to them and let them win. they should have had a minutes silence and let the fans boo them down then. but there is a very anti british sentiment that runs through the celtic support. And its not a minority either. I had a browse through a celtic website and they were celebrating the deaths of british servicemen in Iraq and afghanistan. It wasnt just one or two, they had a whole fucking thread dedicated to it. these are the same people who brand us racist for singing the famine song! Now celtic have been found out for who they are and the whole world knows it.
  7. that the scum had protest banners at their game on saturday relating to the british army. also their minutes applause was a disgrace. only place in the world that didnt show the proper respect. anyone got any info on the banners?
  8. the general hussle and bussle of the terraces created the energy in the crowd. Getting your toes stood on, badgering for a good spot to see the pitch etc was just part and parcel of going to the game. Scottish football would benefit greatly if they brought back the terraces. I reckon more people would come back to the game if they brough them back. As for the saftey aspect of it all. The technoledgy in the turnstiles these days would insure that the terraces would never be overcrowded. I had a relative up from reading and he took his young sons to see morton and all the kids talked about was "going to a real football stadium!" They were elated at the fact that they had stood on proper football terraces and didnt have to sit on a seat! There is enough space at Ibrox to accommodate everyone whether they want to sit or stand. Id love to see the terraces back, but i doubt ot will ever happen.
  9. thompson doesnt do it for me. He rarely stands out in a game. No more than a squad player in my eyes. He was one of many who failed to step up to the plate when the chips were down in the run in last season. Id include Adam, McCulloch, whittaker, Daily, Darcheville and Cousin in that group. These guys were regular picks and all bar one were smiths buys. And I would be well chuffed if we could get rid of them all in the winter transfer window
  10. I would like to add whittaker and thompson to that list.
  11. you can trace the demise of the game in general as far as the average fan is concerned. The life and atmosphere has been sucked from stands by the PC brigade who have ravaged the game from every twist and turn. It all started with all seater stadiums and the threat of being turfed out If you "stood up". Now every chant is being scrutinised in case someone somewhere in the world is offended. Next to be banned will be "who ate all the pies" in case you insult some fat bitch who just happened to be watching the footie as she was struggling to fit into her size 16 dress. (dont be suprised if this happens!) I used to go to the games to be part of the crowd for ninety minutes, standing with my mates after a few pints and enjoying the crack and banter from both sets of fans, whoever the opposition may be. Jumping around like a maddie with a total bunch of strangers, united as one when your team scores, constantly angling for a view of the pitch when some fucker bigger than you stands in front of you. Just being part of the crowd and playing your part. Now i am no more than a seat number who in my best interests should sit on my arse and keep my mouth shut for the duration of the game. Its not only about the football on the pitch, Its about the people in the stands too. We are what made the game great. Something that has been sadly overlooked in recent years. PC BRIGADE 1 FOOTBALL FANS 0
  12. I have, KONTERMAN WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOF! he sure shut the fuckers up that night. hillarious!
  13. good for them. I for one will give them a hearty round of applause when they take the field.
  14. Out of the two its walter smith who has to impress me.
  15. I seen this on Rangers TV. The look on boyds face was priceless!
  16. throw in McCulloch AND Adam more like! We dont need PL. we are far too top heavy with attackers.
  17. I took my brother to the game lastnight and he was totally distracted by them. It was the first time he seen them. I find them pretty annoying on a whole and reckon they should be toned down a bit. and did you know that directline do 10% off car insurance?
  18. yes it is. It is regarded by the police the and the club as racist chanting and as racisim is regarded as unlawful then it is against the law. We all know the consequences of singing it so the mugs who do have to stop.
  19. ill respect the families wishes.
  20. The bottom line is the song is banned and its against the law. So the big question is : what the hell are the police and stewards doing at the matches when the songs are being sung? Answer is absolutely nothing. If these lot started doing their jobs and actually arresting people and turfing them out of the ground then you might see the song fade away.
  21. Is this a freebie on the season book?
  22. walters got it covered. hes training lee mcculloch as a centre half:eek:
  23. top post. best of the year. Well balanced and constuctive in its arguments. No chance of you ever getting a job in the mainstream media mate;)
  24. I think you will find that walter has been sent a note from upstairs and prodded with a stick to make a comment. Im actually suprised that he came away with this as his comments in the media are usually quite measured and leave little scope for ridicule. This stinks of Bain and Murray big time.
