I could pick a better team than smith cammy, and most of the posters in here could too. As i said the personel are there, its the manager thats the problem. There is no excuse for the standard of football that Smith is delivering. Its just not bloody good enough and im afraid i dont see it getting any better.

at the moment we have neither but as a rangers supporter i expect the standard of football to be far better than it is given the amount of money that smith has spent. He blew the league last season by picking underachievers and its the same players who are dragging us down this time round too. We have the personel to do far better but smith hasnt got a clue when it comes to team selection and tactics. If hes still here next season then im cancelling my season book. And i wont be back till hes gone.

Its quite simple, smiths brand of football last season wasnt worth watching and if it wasnt for the fact that most of us have season books we wouldnt have bothered to turn up. In saying that if the current rangers team turned up in my back garden id sell my house (with the curtains closed).

Everyman and his dog can see lafferty is no winger bar walter but he continually plays him out of position. lafferty is playing very poorly but you have to question smiths decision to play him out of position in the first place. It must take its toll on the player and you have to question the effect that it takes on the players confidence. I have been laffertys biggest critic but I genuinely feel for the guy . Smith is ruining his career (and others for that matter) with his team selections and tactics. Charlie Adam is another player who was looking good when Smith returned but has gone backwards in the last 18 months. All the evidence for our demise is leading back to smith and I will be venting all my anger at our manager from now on, not the players. Smith really has to go. sooner rather than later.

Id sack him in a minute. hes taking us knowwhere. we have nothing to lose by replacing him.

dont think its the formation mate, its the personell. Whitaker again ran around like a headless chicken, charlie adam had a 90 minute charlie moment, lafferty proved he is definately not a wide man on either wing and that darcheville just isnt good enough to play for Rangers. Also ferguson is struggling badly and should be no where near the team. Smith seems to take critisism of his team selections personally and is cutting off his nose to spite his face by picking the same duds who cost us the league and ghot us knocked out of the CL qs by a pub team. Our manager infuriates me with his tactical niavety and bewildering team selections. He seems hell bent on dragging us down to the gutter. We are in dire straights and i cant see smith pulling us out of the whole were in. He doesnt have the gumption, knowhow or savvy to deal with the situation. Ive said along that he should have walked after kuanas, and im afraid im being proved right. We critisise the players for being under achievers, but Smith is the biggerst one of all.

We arent going any where with smith. hes void of any in imagination and is blind to the problems of the side that is staring everyone else in the face. Theres nothing id like to see better than walter resigning. he just aint doint it.

Ive heard spew keevins say it, ive heard provan say it and ive even fannybaws speirs say it. referees were biased towards Rangers in the 60s and seventies. given that c####c had their most successful spell in the clubs history in that period i beg to differ on that point but there is one question that is left begging: just how many decisions have to go Celtics way before Rangers fans can legitimetly claim that there is a bias between referees that favour celtic. answers on a postcard please.

Just a tad mate! Its quite a few things about Walter Smith that rile me actually. I dont rate McCulloch (who in fareness had a decent game yesterday), Whittaker, Adam and Darcheville as they were ever present in a side that failed badly in the run up to last season and the Cl qualifiers and never had the mettle to take us up a level. But walter Smith sees something in these guys that no one else can see. He continualy gives them chances and they rarely ever deliver. Novo should have been on yesterday from the start and id have opted for Lafferty playing up front with boyd. Adam would have been shopping in sauchihall street as id have him no where near ibrox on a saturday afternoon. Jordan McMillan would have played in front of Mcculloch too. The first half yesterday was a warning for everyone. We struggled badly and even though the second half performance was better we only managed to scrape the ball over the line. Smith should be very careful with his team selctions from now on or he could end up with egg on his face, just like last season. ps dont give up the day job just yet Ally, you just get dragged down with walter.

walter Smith has laid into the fans who barracked Charlie Adam after yesterdays clash with Aberdeen. Smith has given the player his vote of confidence and reckons he "deserves a medal" and "should be applauded" for refusing to let the jeers from the stands grind him down. Adam, who provided yet another below par performance against our inbred opposition from the north apparently blended in well with Barry ferguson and pedro mendes and created a good balance in the midfield. Well im fucking sorry walter. you obviously watched a different game from me yesterday. Adam couldnt kick his own arse against Aberdeen and has failed to impress me in any of his appearances since god knows when in a Rangers jersey. He is an underachiever. He is not good enough to play for Rangers. He brings nothing to the game that enhances the team. like most fans our hearts were in our mouths when we heard the team selection before kick off and our aprehensions and misgivings about your team selections were certainly justified by the first half performance alone. Picking the likes of Adam is the reason we never looked like winning the Uefa cup final. The same reason we imploded in last seasons championship race and the reason we got knocked out of the CL qualifiers by yet another pub team. Its one of the reasons too Id sack you in a minute Walter. Continually picking under achievers who have failed Rangers when the chips were down. And its the main reason i dont think we will win the league.

It seems our chairman is telling his counterpart that people in glass houses shouldnt through stones. His mouth was very big over the famine song but less vocal after his supporters disgraceful performance at swynecastle where the sang sectarian songs for ninety minutes and racially abused british soldiers selling poppies. And while your mouth is open Dr Reid maybe you would like to explain why British sevicemen werent allowed to wear their uniforms at Peadophile park too.

no its a good move by the club actually. gets him off the wage bill for the remainder of his contract. I hope smith impresses where ever he goes. I would love to see him back at the club in the first team but I think this will see him ply his trade elsewhere in the future.

to highjack one of the most sombre days that most of the world stops for a minute to reflect on those who gave their lives for countless countries to make a political point is an utter disgrace. you cant get any fucking lower in my eyes.

we have better players than lafferty in our youth ranks. Fleck for one who cant even get on the bench. We could have saved the four million and given him a chance instead. Walter wouldnt know raw tallent if you slapped him across the face with it. Just ask barry ferguson. He had to to hand in a transfer request to get a game under him. even then it was Dick Advocaat who gave him his big chance. Fleck doesnt have a hope in hell of being a first team regular under smith. I fully expect that boy to move on to another club.

The blame for me lies firmly at the door of Walter Smith. I personally would have sacked him after the disgrace in the CL qualifiers. I could write a book about my complaints about smith, but right now im too bloody livid. The answer is simple. get rid of him.

I have said in an other post that Lafferty is a dud. I hope im proved wrong but i doubt i will be. As for miller, he didnt play badly last night but should have had a hat trick with the chances he had.

Smith has made a monumental blunder forking out 4 million on kyle lafferty. This guy is an absolute dud. I havent seen anything in this guys game to suggest hes worth 40,000 never mind 4 mill. Please dont tell me to give the guy time, with his price tag he should be romping the SPL, but he isnt. Sebo was a better prospect than this guy. Edu at 2.75 million, villichka at a mill. all a waste of money.then theres walters decision making too. leaving it to the death to make a substitution to turn the game. lafferty should have been hooked at half time but was allowed to run around like a headless chicken for most of the second half too. I seriously doubt we will win the league given what ive seen so far.
