That's your article now on the main site Rousseau. Thanks again! http://www.gersnet.co.uk/index.php/news-category/current-affairs/379-praised-but-never-preached

If he's offski then the first thing that comes to mind is maybe there's a God after all.

With us being at Palmerston next weekend before Ibrox in two weeks time they might not rush into a decision, but aye, they'll need to sort it out soon.
-
There's no way the Club will start closing stands. The only tier they might close is the Club Deck, but only if ticket sales are really poor. As far as I can see, the only option available to the Club is to put a discount on ALL ticket prices across the board if the Directors thinks the Club can afford to do it. Other than that, I'd expect them to just price the tickets as normal with maybe a small discount all round or maybe just for ST holders.
-
Something else that's maybe worth considering is that the whole thing about letting ST holders in for free was done as a sort of ruse with tongues firmly lodged in cheeks knowing full well that it would stir the pot of shit Scottish football currently resides in.
-
When they suggested that, they were probably expecting about (or even more than) 10k Rangers fans + the away support to help cover the costs.
-
It would be a brilliant GIRFUY, but we're going to need to get as much money in as possible in order to even have a sniff at covering the cost of staging the home games. The policing, security, stewarding and general staffing costs are astronomical at Ibrox.

The BT Sport coverage is absolutely terrible. Amateurish camera work, crap commentary and absolutely dreadful half-time analysis with 3 or 4 guys standing behind a cheap exhibition counter that looks like they nicked it from a trade show at the SECC. The football on display is normally bad enough without the broadcaster making the entertainment even worse.

So the two games against Queen of the South are definitely next Saturday (the 9th) and the following Sunday, the 17th?
-
If that's correct it's a total disgrace. We desperately need to get rid of these muppets Doncaster & Regan and bring leaders into the running of Scottish football who play hard ball because the idiots currently running our game seem to be systematically destroying it.

Absolutely essential we get the right manager in for next season
Zappa replied to Ser Barristan Selmy's topic in Rangers Chat
Absolutely terrible management in the second half today. To shuffle the defense when they'd been solid and doing fine was a massive mistake. If Foster had to go off, McCall should have put someone else to right back and left the central defenders as they were. -
DJ: McCulloch move up front tipped to boost Rangers promotion hopes
Zappa replied to pete's topic in Rangers Chat
It's a shame McCall didn't stick Jig on up front for Miller in that second half today if Jig absolute must play. -
Make money? Are you serious? The Club could make a loss on these play-off games.
-
Bottom line is that according to the SPFL's rulebook, we should be able get away with charging cheap prices (say £10 off the price of all tickets), but the cheap prices would need to apply to the visiting supporters too or else a different rule (I31) would be breached.
-
It's extremely interesting that all of these press & media commentators as well as the sports lawyer quoted in the STV article posted in this thread which was written by Raman Bhardwaj are all commenting on rule C26 and not commenting on rule I26 or I31 from the same SPFL rules & regulations. Why are they avoiding addressing rules I26 & I31 when both of those rules are equally important to the subject matter? http://spfl.co.uk/docs/067_324__therulesofthescottishprofessionalfootballleagueasat1january2015_1420461886.pdf

Tom Lang - Birmingham City defender on trial at Ibrox
Zappa replied to Frankie's topic in Rangers Chat
The young central defender Tom Lang is an interesting prospect. He came through the Birmingham City academy and he's well capped for Scotland at youth level in teams which have successfully reached the European finals. Interesting to note that his agent is none other than Simply Sport Management, which is our ex-CEO Craig Mather's company! -
DJ: McCulloch move up front tipped to boost Rangers promotion hopes
Zappa replied to pete's topic in Rangers Chat
DJ's certainly correct about right back being a problem for us at the moment because Foster, Faure & young Sinnamon have all been injured, so if McGregor were to play centrally as opposed to Jig, then it gives the manager the issue of deciding who's going to stand in at right back. Ideally I'd play Faure there, but I think he's still out injured despite looking like he was walking no problem at Ibrox last week. I'm not convinced about playing Crawford there, although it wouldn't be the worst option. -
The muppets currently running Scottish football couldn't organise a piss up in a brewery.

Good news for Paul Murray, although it was surely only a formality. Disappointing to hear that the SFA are dragging their heals on giving Dave King the all clear.

That's the predictions thread now up for the Hearts game guys - Predictions for Hearts v Rangers - SPFL Championship match 36 (GPL game 48) -
After costs and the SPFL's play-off tax our Club would have made peanuts anyway and that's assuming we didn't end up making a loss, so it's a great gesture to the fans to just try to cover the costs or minimize the losses while flicking the vickey at SPIFFELL.

You've said my comments about Aird were disgusting, offensive, character assassination and that I should have a word with myself, so I think we get picture. You disagree. Let's move on.
-
I was actually being very polite about Aird's abilities and his suitability to play for us. The thread is all about him, so why shouldn't people voice their opinions?
