    I'd agree that many of us were taken in by David Murray pete and that's a massive subject all on it's own, but I don't think very many (certainly on Gersnet!) were taken in by Whyte, Green or Ashley.

    The rules for accumulative yellow cards have been daft for years because key players having to miss important games in the second half of the season has caused clubs to bend the rules which goes against all notions of so-called 'sporting integrity'.

    I think we dodged a bullet with Scott Allan tbh because while he's clearly a good player and he's had good games against us this season, I wasn't overly impressed with Allan at all when we went to Easter Road 4 weeks ago. I could be wrong, but I think Lewis Macleod is a far better player than Allan. As for Danny Wilson, I liked him a lot when he was playing for us. He's got a great left foot and he's a better central defender than any we've got in our squad. I think I probably disagree with the folk saying that going to Liverpool was a bad move or too early for him though because I'm pretty sure that even although he didn't play much for their first team he's almost certain to have gained a lot of experience from their U21 and reserve games as well as their training methods. Bottom line is that Danny Wilson's been an important player for Hearts this season, playing about 30 league games so far and they've only conceded 23 goals while we've shipped 35. Not all Wilson's doing obviously, but he's an impressive defender and he's only going to get better with experience.

    A 16 team top flight is the most popular option according to Scottish football fan polls, but my own preference would be to move to an 18 team Premiership/top flight and a 24 team 2nd tier. I would guess it'll never happen though, primarily because the TV broadcasters won't be satisfied with only having 2 guaranteed Old Firm games.

    They made a total dogs dinner of the last so-called reconstruction, so I'd be in favour of them fixing and cleaning up their mess by doing it right and expanding the size of the leagues because having a 4 tier professional football system in a country the size of Scotland (population wise) is a complete joke.

    I doubt very much that he finds unacceptable draws acceptable pete, I think it's just a mix of him trying to remain positive and interview situations with selective Q&As making him seem more out of touch than he really is.

    In fairness, it's a lot more befitting of our Club than having a bullshitting pillock like Charles Green shooting his mouth off to play to the gallery, but actually causing us nothing but trouble in the process while not actually living up to his bullshit about defending the Club. For just one example, see the SPL's EBT case where Green shouted his mouth off and then didn't even back it up with legal representation.

    What happened to us in the 07/08 season with some of the issues which have already been mentioned on the thread here was a disgrace, but IMO it's not right to blame the loss of the league (or any other competition we were in that season) purely on the fixture pile-up at the end of the season because we had a hectic schedule for pretty much the whole season. Ok, so the end of season fixtures and decisions made by the SFA, SPL & broadcasters were a joke, but the fixture congestion cost us dearly quite early in the season as well. It would be just as easy to say we lost the league over a 6 to 7 week period from mid September to the end of October where we had to play our first 3 Champions League group stage matches & 2 League Cup matches over the same period as 6 SPL games. During that period we dropped 11 points thanks to losses against Hearts, Hibs & Dundee Utd and a draw at Firpark, but we picked up 7 points in the CL and won our 2 League Cup ties to reach the LC SF.

    That's Murdoch, Walsh, Hardie, Sinnamon & Halkett all now added to our '1st Team' smilie category alongside the rest of the first team players since they've all either been getting game time or making our bench recently. Just put the player's initials between two colons and you're good to go.

    I'm not particularly keen to help Airdrie, but since this issue is so ridiculous and has implications for many Scottish football clubs I'd say it's well worth supporting the petition, so I've signed it. Cheers for posting stevee72.

    Hardie is missing, so I'll get that sorted mate, but Murdoch, Sinnamon, Halkett and most of the other young lads are there in our 'Reserve & Youth' Smiley catagory because they weren't classed by the Club as being in the first team squad at the beginning of the season. For Andy Murdoch you just type murdoch between two colons.

    I make assumptions about a lot of things, but only ever do so based on the available information and in this case you clearly stated something as if it was fact or as if you had inside information, so given that various types of inside info is something which you've frequently posted here, it was a reasonably logical assumption whether correct or not. Exactly.

    I presume that you have absolutely no idea what the SFA will decide Alan and if you do, then it would make me wonder if you'd been continuing your campaign against Dave King by communicating with a person you know (or people) at the SFA.

    As our assistant manager to Walter for four and a half years, then our manager for three and a half years we're talking about a hell of a lot of money he's made here pete. It's difficult to put a figure on with unknown bonuses, tax deductions etc, but it's pretty safe to say that he's made a lot more money from our Club in 8 years than the majority of people make in a whole lifetime and then some.
