  1. I'm slightly surprised he hasn't made the shortlist because I thought he was our best player in the first half of the season before the old board of directors sold him in January. Not only did Lewis Macleod stand out as probably our best player in the first half of the season, but he's still to this day scored exactly the same number of goals for us this season (in all competitions) as Kenny Miller and Nicky Clark with all three of them being our joint 4th top goalscorers.
  2. They maybe wouldn't even need to put the price up mate. A lot of folk don't even buy a program, so the Club could just get more than usual printed and run a wee campaign next week encouraging fans to buy them. That would mean we avoid any accusations of bending the rules and would also mean there wouldn't be anyone next Sunday saying "£6 for a program? Fuck off!"
  3. John Hughes is never Rangers manager material, no chance. If we don't get through these play-offs and get promotion, then I wouldn't be against the idea of Derek McInnes coming in if he wanted to, although I'm not sure if he'd leave Aberdeen when he's had a very good season with them and he's got European games to prepare them for and to look forward to.

  5. Brilliant decision from the Club. Steam will be blowing out of a few sets of ears at Hampden today!
  6. Don't forget to post your predictions - Predictions for QoS v Rangers - Premiership Play-Off QF1 (GPL game 49)
  7. Cheers mate, much appreciated. We don't have one because a smilie whipping another smilie looks like something straight out of a kinky club in a smilie red light district.
  8. Any takers for the play-off quarter final match previews then?
  9. I'm surprised it's taken them as long to start trying to join the dots officially. They might have been better wading through garbage looking for shredded paperwork.
  10. He's an absolutely fantastic player who's let himself down by his diving antics both at club and international level.

    Lets imagine

The way they've got it set up down south is about as close to spot-on as you can get with the league sizes, relegation, promotion and play-off structures, but having 4 top tiers in Scotland with the stupid split and small leagues they retained after their so-called 'reconstruction' is just daft. I was initially a big fan of the 16 team Premiership concept for Scotland to allow for a wee winter break, but think I've probably changed my mind and would rather we just had two professional top tiers with the regional pyramid system below. With that in mind, then the obvious solutions are either an 18 team 1st tier & 24 team 2nd tier or a 20 team 1st tier & 22 team 2nd tier. As for play-offs, we really should just be copying the EPL/Championship system on that front too because they've got it right.
  12. Because you're our correspondent for the Rangers Soccer Schools in Bermuda... OBVIOUSLY!
  13. Aye, they'll be a diving bastard short!
  14. Another excellent article D'Art!
  15. Had a look Ian and from what I can there's nothing changed in the forum settings which would stop you from being able to delete your thread. Just make sure you go into the advanced editor.
  16. No recent changes that I know of mate, but I'll look into it.
  17. I deleted your thread in the Footie Chat section as requested Ian.
  18. I hope his legal representatives haven't been silly enough to send documents via Air Mail or courier from South Africa because their postal and courier systems seem to be absolutely screwed these days. We've got family living just outside Johannesburg and they need to actually take their mail to Tambo airport to even stand a chance of getting it out of SA and even then it's completely untrustworthy. They go to the airport and send Birthday, Xmas cards etc 6-8 weeks in advance and half the time they don't turn up or turn up 3-4 months later!
  19. Updated....... Folks, we're looking for a couple of volunteers to write the match previews for the first 2 play-off games starting with a preview for the game at Palmerston on Saturday, so if anyone fancies doing one just say which play-off quarter final leg you want to write a preview for and we'll put your name down on the schedule here. 20. Article now published dB - View from afar - That Celtic farce It's predominantly about Celtic, but you do make reference to Rangers in the article a fair number of times, especially in the final section, so we'll just leave it in here.
  21. That's the predictions thread now up for the QoS game at Palmerston on Saturday night guys, so get your predictions in between now & the 17:30 kick-off. Do it here - Predictions for QoS v Rangers - Premiership Play-Off QF1 (GPL game 49)
  22. Happy 42nd Craig and all the best from Gersnet.
  23. I normally edit such typos/mistakes, but completely missed that. I wouldn't worry about it though because a lot of people get it wrong, the most common being 'MacLeod' instead of 'Macleod'.
  24. Very best of luck to the lad. He and his family must be over the moon! I've seen him mentioned quite regularly in Elfideldo's youth match reports as having been on the score sheet, so he's obviously got goals in him!
  25. Quick round-up as well as full GPL results & standings following our disappointing 2-2 draw at Tynecastle - Latest GPL results & standings
