It should be an easy tie. WS has the european experience to pump teams like these rotten. We have the players to pump them rotten so only way I can see it being an awkward game is if WS doesn't choose the right tactics and we all know that's a possibility.

Klos deserved the wages he was getting because he was a world class goalie and kept us in many games with his saves so I'd take Klos over Carroll anyday. Obviously his wages were a problem though. Even with the addition of Gow, I still feel we lack any real creativity in the midfield. Another season of punting high balls to the strikers could be on the cards this season.

David Seaman was immense. OK, he was average in his last few seasons as a pro but all in all he was pretty much everything you want in a goalkeeper. Every goalkeeper makes mistaken now and again. I've often thought that Edwin van der Sar was overrated. Seems to make more mistakes than your average goalkeeper and I can't remember him making any 'WOW' saves. Another is Puyol. Always runs about like a demented headless chicken and he makes his fair share of fuck ups too.
