Disgusting statement! The way it details, links and quotes all the negative aspects of Dave King whilst 'bigging up' Lambias is petty at best!

Do we have any inclination as to what legal way they could potentially reject the EGM?

This revelation makes me think this was why these loans never happened until at the end of the transfer window. If this had to come out sooner - then I would imagine that some players would request to leave the club. A lot of players are out of contract at the end of the season, which may have resulted in some clubs becoming aware of our unhappy 'superstars'. Unreal!

That press conference is nothing short of brutal to watch! Cannot believe it has came to this.

KMD stated that Dean Shiels was 'in his plans' (apparently. How can KMD have plans if he's handed in his notice?? He rarely gets game time as it is!

I gather we should expect a statement from King, park etc. before the day is out

I cannot think that this news can be spun in any positive way with support. May only move the galvanise the support further leading into AGM. Mind boggles as to the views of the institutional investors given this news - how can this be for the benefit of shareholders i do not know. Football clubs need good retail performance to support the finances. if anything, this situation at Ibrox proves that point completely. I really hope this mob get booted out at the EGM and we can try and get back on a good footing.

Keith Jackson: Celtic v Rangers used to have it all...
True_Ger_1872 replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
We have a lot of players who haven't experienced the Old Firm cauldron - but neither have they. I also think that it will be a massive game for Deila. He will be expected to organise a team to go out and thrash us. But I imagine that management experience is also sorely tested in these contests. It will be interesting to see how he copes given everything that may come from this game. I still think he is very much in a 'honeymoon mode' with the Celtic job with no real pressure on the domestic front. I predict a Celtic win - but it will be interesting to see just how that team can handle the hype of the game, as well as the demands from their support. -

What's scary about it - is that it isn't sarcasm. This is their actual mentality nowadays. Some may say obsessed - I would say, consumed is more apt! -
Reports saying that 450,000 shares sold today - accounts for approx 0.55%. No idea as yet who the seller / buyer is.

Would anyone be surprised if Graham Wallace made yet another appearance in this saga? He seems to come across as a character that has came around to their way of thinking.

Could Magath come in and ask the board for the job and in return - use his voting rights in their favour at the upcoming EGM?? Just a thought....albeit unlikely.
-
If that is true and comes to pass - what would stop an EGM being called and TPL proposing for Dave King to be put onto the board? It seems that Ashley / Easdale may not have enough votes to ensure he wouldn't be voted in with a 51% ruling. Also - exactly what does Ashley have over the club for him to threaten with action of sorts? - this is not the first time we have heard this about him. Previously it was reported he threatened the board with legal action if they never accepted his offer and took the King offer. Also - what makes Ashley so sure that he would win??

12/01: American businessman Robert Sarver pulls out of running
True_Ger_1872 replied to Frankie's topic in Rangers Chat
Lots of chat going around about a possible EGM being called for given the dire need for cash within the next few days. Unless Sarver, King and the 3B's come to an agreement - i would imagine an EGM will be called by King et al to try and invoke change. Given the way all the parties appear to be aligning - what could the potential outcome of an EGM be given the shareholdings? Quite possible that board members wont survive a vote if 50% is needed to remove, however are there any other aspects of change which could be blocked based on the Easdale block? -

The only way i think Savers bid could be successful is if he has talks with DK and the 3B's to try and negotiate a deal / role for them if/when he takes over. Savers bid can only be accepted if 75% of shareholders agree, hence the need to have DK et al onside. The immediate 6.5M loan i believe has been offered to try and appease the board. What does interest me is the potential repercussions if the offer is accepted and the loan is approved. Since he has said it would be an immediate loan, which i assume would be used to pay off the existing loans and also to keep the club going until such times and the takeover is finalised - then there is a potential for the club to be in dire straits during that takeover process, and if anything bad happened such as admin, Saver would be a major creditor??? -
SOS - Ashleys' Next Dastardly Plan Revealed
True_Ger_1872 replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
Agreed. It can be argued that he in effect has had control for a while now and all he has done is ensure that his primary organisation, Sports Direct, has a steady supply of income from the club and the supporters. If he was looking to make money for Rangers, he (or his man Lambias) would have make moves on that front by now. -
holders with more than 1% been asked to make themselves known
True_Ger_1872 replied to j1mgg's topic in Rangers Chat
He talks a lot of sense - it is good to see another shareholder in the media coming out and putting pressure on the current board. That's another confirmed 1.35% in favour of the good guys then!! -
SOS - Ashleys' Next Dastardly Plan Revealed
True_Ger_1872 replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
I was reading about this yesterday and apparently the figure it would cost Ashley to purchase the remainder of RR is about £350,000. Utterly shocking behaviour if this goes through! -

True_Ger_1872 replied to Frankie's topic in Rangers Chat
Interesting move by Sarver. This time, his statement focuses more on his proposal and how this would work with Rangers. 20 pence per share, immediate short term funding, repayment of outstanding loans. Will be interested to hear how the board reacts to this. It seems to be getting made more difficult for the board to ignore these offers. -
